I appreciate:

My nieces, Abby and Melanie (and their respective spouses) for their tag-team plan for feeding us last night.  After a week like this, it was SO amazing to come home from our last errand to find dinner waiting for us!

Waking up with NO headache this morning.  What a relief!!

• That yesterday’s ER adventure (my turn) was short and provided easy, non-alarming answers.
• Smiley flowers and my amazing daughter (who took this photo).
• Bird songs outside my window before this busy, busy day.  

I appreciate:

• Luna, the talky cat, whose mews and squeaks and rumbles always amuse me.  Nothing like a good conversation with a cat in the morning.
• Getting done with chemo before noon. Feels like a miracle to be able to work for a change.
• Blue skies and warmer weather.  I’m looking forward to working in the yard and the garden.  Gotta melt the rest of that snow first!

I appreciate:

• Good news from the doc today: Pat’s responding well to chemo!
• The tasty food from the cafeteria. Wild rice, chicken & zucchini. Yum.
• Getting done with chemo early. We’ll be home before 3 today. Yay!

I appreciate:

• Sara, for bringing us the most amazing meal tonight.  Wow, were those chickpea patties delicious.  Plus that fancy sauce.  And mango!  And hummus and veggies! Yummers!
• The woman walking in front of me earlier today, who was wearing the most awesome stockings. 🙂
• Stripes are good.  My amazing dentist who is just so sweet and always makes going there a good experience.

I appreciate:

• The shuffle setting on iTunes, which reminds me of fabulous music I’d forgotten about.  Like Banana Moon by Zoe Lewis! 🙂
• Hair binders.  It’s true.  They’re super handy.
• Cinnamon jelly belly jelly beans.  Yum!

I appreciate:

• How much the cats like the new scratching post.  They’re so funny to watch playing around on it, and now maybe they’ll leave the couch alone!
• The luxury of a day free from work, errands, and chores.  Wheeee!
• Bright sunshine taking the edge off the cold wind.

I appreciate:

Ellis‘ CD Release show with Arthur and Mother Banjo. So. Much. Fun. Great music, hilarious stories, and reconnecting with wonderful people. Perfection!

Thunder at 3 am. Thunder!

A rainy Saturday morning at home with the family, hanging out, drinking coffee, getting some chores done. Lovely start to the weekend!

I appreciate:

• That it was raining (not snowing) this morning — and that the sun is coming out now!
• My shiny, clean car. Thanks, hubby, for getting it washed yesterday (hence the rain today… ) 🙂
• My lilac perfume. I’m gonna just keep waiting for spring to spring by pretending in whatever ways I can!

I appreciate:

• iTunes.  Yup, working and listening to the Bears and some Adam Ant sure makes the afternoon fly by…. 
• Weather warm enough to go for a walk WITH NO JACKET.  Oh, yeah!
• A productive work and errand day that makes taking that walk feel well-deserved. 🙂
