Just to be clear… that’s not all I appreciate. I appreciate sunshine, birds singing, the fact that at some point today, I WILL find time to use my sidewalk chalk, 46º at 8:10 am, sunshine (yes, I know I already said that. But it’s sunny! Sunny!) Lots of other stuff, too…

I especially appreciate days when it feels easy to be in this space – these days more than ever. If I hadn’t spent the past year or so teaching my brain to look for what is good, I think these past few months would have been awful. So, I appreciate all the mentors, teachers, and friends who are helping me learn to think this way.

I appreciate sidewalk chalk, sunshine, and a daughter who willingly helps me spend my time wisely! Love you, Katie!

I appreciate:

• 19 years with my funny, talented, and fascinating son. Happy Birthday, Mckenzie!
• 3 years with the most delightful, sunny, brilliant Miss R ever. What an amazing day.
• Our new tradition of stopping at Birchwood Cafe on the way home from day 2 of chemo. Gluten-free donuts…sooo delicious!

I appreciate:

• Successful completion of round 4 of chemo and the super-nice nurses there. Seems like even if they’ve only worked with us once, they remember us. What amazingly loving people.
• Weather warm enough for a walk outside. Hallelujah!
• Leftovers from the delicious meal Melanie brought us this week. So nice not to have to figure out meals a couple nights a week. So grateful.

I appreciate:

• The Good News Network. I love getting good news in my inbox! Good good good.
• Sunlight filling the chemo lounge today. Spring spring spring.
• My lavender hand lotion. Soothing for my dry hands and calming. Calm calm calm.

I appreciate:

• The sun melting yesterday’s snow so quickly and for making things so pretty while doing it.
• Pam, for posting a truly positive link on a day when I really needed it.
• Miracles in all shapes and sizes.

I appreciate:

• My great, good fortune in getting to play with wonderful people at HUGE – and for the joy of playing to such an awesome audience last night. ♥
• The articulate, helpful feedback on my logo contest as I choose my final design. Thank you so much for your help!
• The fact that the sun is out. I’m ignoring the forecast for 3-8″ of snow tonight… 😉

I appreciate:

• The new designs coming in for my logo contest (and the fact that they gave me 2 extensions so I could deal with our family health issues. So great!). The latest designs are so close to just what I wanted!
• The forecast for 73º next Saturday. OMG yes!
• Getting to play with some of my favorite people ever in TWO sets at HUGE tonight. Lucky, lucky, lucky me.

I appreciate:

• Today’s meditation and talk at HUGE. Thank you for arranging that, Sarah Brown!
• Working on our super-cool, work-in-progress form for tomorrow’s Blue Jays at Improv-a-Go-Go. So much fun to work with these bright, talented, wonderful people!
• Down time. Blissful.

I appreciate:

• The blue sky I can see from my office window. What a welcome sight.
• Breathing. Balancing my thoughts.
• Cat curled up on a pink chair. Comfort.
• I appreciate the prettiness of last night’s snow… no matter how ridiculous an April 18th snowstorm… (Thanks for the pic, Katie !)

I appreciate:

• Last night’s improv class with Jim DeSimone. Between that and Lauren Anderson’s boot camp, I am going to whip my improv-butt into shape. Improv-butt??
• Looking forward to Sunday’s Blue Jays at Improv-a-Go-Go extravaganza. How lucky I am to get to play in not one, but TWO sets this weekend!
• Pam Guthrie’s friend’s post: “Happy February 76th!” Hahahaha! Surely the sun will return some day, right?
