Appreciations Year Three: Day 252

Energy to attend to lots of stuff yesterday — no dizzy spells until about 8:30. Yay!

Falling asleep really really quickly, really really early. Like a toddler after a day at the park! 😛

More sunny mild weather. Yes!

LeeAnne whose love for and stunning photographs and stories of animals never cease to amaze me and fill me with joy.

Mountains, rainforests, apricots, penguins, pandas, owls, chocolate, water, books, bandaids, stuffed animals.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 247

The Minneapolis night skyline. I never get tired of it.

children's hospital 2The color of the Children’s Hospital. I think of how much I appreciate that every time I pass it but never remember to add to my appreciations on the same day. 😉

Looking out my kitchen window at trees leafing out and the lit up stained glass window of the church just beyond them.

My kids. I really like them.

Pam for a gazillion reasons. So happy she’s making friends with Silli and is into the next phase of her spa adventure. ❤

All kinds of rocks, learning more stuff each time I build a new website, tools, tulle, paint, zippers, zip-zap-zop, hot water for tea and coffee, tea and coffee, blankets, sleep, photographs.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 246

The magic of FB connecting me to people I’d’ve never met otherwise — and making it so easy to reconnect with people from the past.  I love the sometimes surprising and lovely relationships the form and reform. ❤

More sunshine.  Such a wonderful thing, especially pre-coffee!

Ghiradelli for making an instant cocoa mix without milk so I can add it to my coffee for a yummy (and still dairy free) mocha in the morning. Yum!

Former Diana who cleverly spent some of her energy yesterday vacuuming and tidying.  So nice to wake up to a cleaner house!

Nerds, geeks, and dorks!! (Cartoon from Shoebox Blog)

Soft summer morning air, caterpillars (especially hookah-smoking caterpillars), grins, babies of all kinds, learning stuff, candles, campfires, the North Shore, last night’s beautiful crescent moon and the stars, quiet.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 243

Giraffe-closeup-headEnough of a break from the dizziness to get some stuff done! Yay!

Delicious lamb chop dinner made by and shared with the lovely and talented Sarah. How wonderful to spend a little time with the Duncan girls! Yes, Stela, you, too. 😉

Baby steps into cooking for myself (other than toast, I mean!). So far: I looked up how to make pot roast in a crock pot. Hey, it’s a start! 😛

Giraffes, witches, camp fires, harmony, quilts, azaleas, satisfied smiles.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 242

Sweet rainy Sunday morning. How cozy it feels!

Looking forward to seeing Sarah & Ida today!!

The playful people who populate my life. 🙂

Unicorns, unicycles, seasons, growth, cinnamon, tea, jazz cats, lilacs, caterpillars.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 239

The joy of reconnecting with and playing with my JimmyD pals. Just the best. ❤

The sounds of springtime walks.  I love the ebb and flow of sounds, one moment filled with cars going by, planes flying overhead, passersby talking, birds singing, wind blowing; the next moment a sudden lull with only the sound a my feet on the sidewalk, one lone bird calling out. It never gets old.

Flowers! So many flowers coming up!

Finding the fairly easy-to-rectify reason for my recent fatigue and tendency to get out of breath.  Time for some iron supplementation. 😉

Water, fire, earth, air.  🙂

Appreciations Year Three: Day 237

First crocuses apring 2015First crocus of the season in my own yard! Hello, beautiful.

Friendly and helpful doctors, nurses, and other folks at every turn today.

Smooth sailing through all of today’s events.

Nap time!!

Wonderful and uplifting chat with Terri, who always brightens my day. Love! ❤

Early bedtime. Hahaha – it’s all about sleep, baby!

Appreciations Year Three: Day 236

Brilliant rehearsal with musical improv group.  I can hardly believe how much fun it is. 🙂

Fabulous afternoon with Alison.  How is it that she manages to make a sunny day even sunnier?! ❤ Good thing I had my sunglasses. 😎

fairy responseGetting to be a fairy with Katie — and how insanely prepared we are for such a thing. 😉 Since it’s our next door neighbor, we even got to see her excited smile as she ran back to the house yelling, “Mama! Mama!”  What a gift.  And we’ll get to keep doing this for however long she is interested!  Looks like it is going to be an awesome summer. 😀

Nice little evening thunderstorms.

Chat with my bro on his birthday (extra bonus – getting to see a video of him receiving herbs fines from Melanie & Andy).  I like my family so much! 🙂

Emoticons, apparently. 🙄

Ferns, fairies, feathers, french fries, felines.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 234

Getting to spend a few hours with Debb. Always such a treat!

The thousands of nights I’ve slept more than 3 hours. 🙂

Super amazing inspiring, mirth-provoking, sweet, wonderful Pam — and getting to have breakfast with her this morning. ❤

The fact that my over-tired brain at first directed my fingers to write that as “getting to have dinner with her this morning” – hahaha! I’m pretty sure it was breakfast. 😉

Meeting and playing with some new improv buddies today. What fun!

Gorgeous gorgeous amazing weather. Yum!

apr 11 crocusSeeing my first crocus of the season!

The beautiful chorus of sounds I hear during an evening walk through my neighborhood. Woodpeckers rat-a-tatting, kids laughing and playing, airplanes zooming, cars purring, doors banging, wind chimes jingling, birds calling to one another across the street. What a joyful cacophony.

Shadows, breezes, kisses, my Georgia O’Keeffe print, dozing, how hilarious everything seems today, going to bed ridiculously early. 😉

Appreciations Year Three: Day 232

800px-Raindrops_on_waterWaking up to the sound of rain on the roof. What a cozy sound.

So much fun playing and talking with my improv buddies – and making new improv buddies! That was super fun, Katie!

The hilarity of watching my brain try to work on too little sleep. Nice try, brain. You just hang in there and see what you can do. 😉

Hearing from someone weeks after a class I taught that they really loved it and are having fun using the new tools we used that day in their improv. What a great feeling!

Trying new things, the comfort of rituals and patterns, smartass friends who make me giggle, rhyming silliness (you could have cous cous with goose, or try wild rice with mice), lakes, rivers, ponds, streams, chickens, ducks, and rainbows.
