Appreciations 4.268 – wonderful

di-and-ida-may-2016 Glorious visit with Sarah and Ida, plus getting see so many improv friends at today’s gathering. It had been a LONG time, so it was marvelous to catch up a little.❤

Spectacular weather. My favorite thing about MN is days like today!

Delightful dinner and errand-running with David. People have been so generous about driving me around town the past two months. I appreciate it SO much. Two down, one to go…

Gradually getting back to normal (well, as “normal” as I’ve ever been 😉 ) Today I was able to be out socializing and running errands for over 5 hours — and only had one dizzy spell. Hooray!

Stretching my idiolect to include more words that mean wonderful. Today’s additions: glorious and marvelous. We’ll see if they stick.

Appreciations 4.105 – So. Much. Fun.

My appreciation buddy, Pam. She coined and often uses the word “taskies” — which I now use and love! Today she wrote this, which made me giggle and will probably make me giggle a few more times today: “Did a thousand little taskies last night, and then my head fell off and I couldn’t find it. I think it went under the couch.” Hahahaha!

You can see why I love her, right?! Besides being genuine and warmhearted, and generous and wacky, and genius and warbling (see what I did with gen- and wa- words there!?), she is an absolutely beautiful, caring, delightful, energetic, fascinating, gorgeous, helpful, inspiring, joyful kaleidoscope of love. Magic! Nothing outshines Pam’s quirky, rakish style, her tasty, uplifting verbiage, or her wonderful xylophonic “Yes!”es. Zowie! 😀

Eggcorns and Mondegreens!

Sara, for being a delightful friend on so many levels… and for understanding that I needed to know about the Mischief Toy Store RIGHT AWAY. 🙂

Another exhilarating night of singing with my beautiful Earthtones friends. AND I get to sing another low alto part with my buddy Pam! 😀

Appreciations Year Three: Day 229

License plates with excellent instructions.

Things starting to bloom!! Plus, bonus Easter bunnies on Easter, bounding across the yard when we walked by on our way to get bonus Easter coffee.

The fun of dying eggs with the kids.

Stars (real ones up in the sky and drawn ones, wherever they show up), the moon and the sun, little grassy grass and budsy buds starting to wake up and say hello, playing tag, slip-on shoes, remembering Gramma’s bubble bread (no, I have not tried to make a gluten-free version of it. Somethings you just don’t mess with!), green.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 215

The recent spate of car license plates I’ve seen that have words on them – it’s been about a dozen in the last 2 days. And I haven’t been out and about that much! I can’t remember all of them, but words included elm, ply, dad, due, pup, key, rev, mud. I find it hilarious that I’ve taught my brain to get so happy about such mundane things. Good work, brain. 😉

The fact that I almost never have insomnia.

My cuddly kitty neck wrap warmer thingy. Perfect for those “huh, I guess I slept in the same weirdly uncomfortable position all last night” mornings. 😛

The north woods, my neighborhood, sidewalk chalk drawings, pretty white (soon to melt) snow, word games, maple syrup, traditions.

Year 1, Day 54 addendum: MPR, Katie, words

I appreciate Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, the fun of listening to it in my (still messy) house with Katie and Ryan, and the word scurrilous (which Tom Hanks used during his segment). Words and things are fun.
