Appreciations Year Three: Day 234

Getting to spend a few hours with Debb. Always such a treat!

The thousands of nights I’ve slept more than 3 hours. πŸ™‚

Super amazing inspiring, mirth-provoking, sweet, wonderful Pam — and getting to have breakfast with her this morning. ❀

The fact that my over-tired brain at first directed my fingers to write that as “getting to have dinner with her this morning” – hahaha! I’m pretty sure it was breakfast. πŸ˜‰

Meeting and playing with some new improv buddies today. What fun!

Gorgeous gorgeous amazing weather. Yum!

apr 11 crocusSeeing my first crocus of the season!

The beautiful chorus of sounds I hear during an evening walk through my neighborhood. Woodpeckers rat-a-tatting, kids laughing and playing, airplanes zooming, cars purring, doors banging, wind chimes jingling, birds calling to one another across the street. What a joyful cacophony.

Shadows, breezes, kisses, my Georgia O’Keeffe print, dozing, how hilarious everything seems today, going to bed ridiculously early. πŸ˜‰

Appreciations Year Three: Day 225

Spring weather. I love the ups and downs, the thunderstorms and the sunny days. I love going for walks outside again!

The interesting perspective on things provided by a rare night of insomnia. Time has such a funny quality today.

Striped socks. Counting things, random songs that pop into my head, petrichor petrichor petrichor, jewelry, my laptop, neighborhood animal sightings >> red winged black birds, cardinals, rabbits, friendly cats, some kind of hawk or falcon, bats.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 224

rainbow sink March 2015Yesterday’s mid-morning sink rainbow. ‘Cuz that’s a thing. πŸ˜‰

Wonderfully warm and wildly windy weather. Wow!

Walking in said weather with my hair down and being practically blinded by it when the wind was coming from behind me, then feeling like some mythical creature with my hair streaming out behind me when I was walking against the wind. Exciting!

Another fun meeting with Andy…fun to work on work, and then, you know, hang out and not work on work. πŸ™‚

Super funny tiny little big world with criss-crossy connections of all kinds. How fun that Andy designed the site for someone I met 10 years ago on the art fair circuit — and whom I met again doing Tai Chi with Sarah. I love that.

smiley hydrant March 2015Smiley face fire hydrant. I love those days when the whole world seems to be smiling.

Sandal weather!!! Yes, I wore sandals today. Thrilling.

Bikes with baskets and bells, Lake Harriet, A Wrinkle in Time, getting to know new and interesting people, fellow geeks – whether improv-geeks or wordy-geeks or tech-y geeks – I like us all. ❀

Appreciations Year Three: Day 205

More completely gorgeous weather. What a fabulous thing to be so thrilled by it every single day.

The luxury of being able to walk to the coffee shop for a meeting.

Super fun meeting with Andy during which we talked shop – and then, you know, life, the universe, and everything. πŸ™‚

A reasonably tidy office — especially since a few hours ago it looked like the love child of a paper supply company and a garage sale… πŸ˜›

Appreciations Year Three: Day 203

gremlin face treeThis mind-bogglingly beautiful weather. What an amazing joy it is to go for a walk with no need for a jacket!

Gremlin faces gazing out at me from trees.

All the sounds of a walk through my little neighborhood: my own footsteps; wind blowing through the trees, jangling wind chimes, jingling my earrings; airplanes and cars; melted snow rushing downhill to the storm sewer; birds singing; kids voices:
“I like to ride down the hill”
“I have my own bike”
“I want to go down a hill. Daddy, I saw a girl!”
“I know, you were having a conversation with her!”

So much deliciousness all around. ❀

Appreciations Year Three: Day 200

Alison’s sweet tolerance of a duo partner who sleeps through her alarm and arrives late for warm-ups… πŸ˜›

Spending time with Sarah and Miss Ida. It had been WAY too long!

Weather warm enough for my first walk to the lake… with NO hat….and NO mittens. Even had to take my jacket off on the way home. Woohoo!

Appreciations Year Three: Day 199

Cow socksCrystal treeWarm and fuzzy socks Debb sent me. Is it wrong that my first instinct is to get the sharpies back out and color these, too?? πŸ˜‰

The beautiful tree pattern my crystal made as the light came through the window.

The amazingly beautiful weather today — AND in the forecast.

Super fun rehearsal with Alison this morning for our debut duo show tomorrow. Hooray!

The utter joy of hanging out with the Delaney girls this afternoon. What an amazing treat. How smart that we already put a date for next week on the calendar! πŸ™‚

Appreciations Year Three: Day 183

7 hours of undisturbed sleep. Practically unheard of… and SO refreshing!

Blankets, sweaters, slippers, working furnace, hot tea, purring cats, staying in.

A forecast that includes 29ΒΊ ABOVE zero. Even it if doesn’t happen, it sure is nice to dream about. πŸ˜‰

Appreciations Year Three: Day 159

Oh, the glorious sunshine and warm weather this morning. Made the walk up to the coffee shop feel beautifully spring-like!

Delicious Americano to keep my hands warm on the way back home. πŸ™‚

Reassuring check-in with the heart doc today.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 148

Sunny sunny sunshine and warm weather! Ooooh – could get up to 40ΒΊ today. Maybe I’ll go for a walk — you know, break out the sandals & shorts. πŸ˜‰

Pam’s delightfully descriptive appreciations. I love her attention to detail and thoughtfulness as she crafts her daily dose of goodness. β™₯

500 kinds of lotion to choose from since though it be warm, it be dry.
