Appreciations 4.172 – fuzzy

fuzzyYesterday was a fuzzy day after my late night, but I was left with enough energy to get so many taskies done. Got the house tidied up, laundry and dishes done, groceries bought. All before the chilly chilliness came back. Today I only have to leave the house to take TobyCat to the vet. The rest of the day will be cozy at-home working. I like it!

Working for clients who are beautiful, bright people, making the world a friendlier, more fun, more interesting, more loving place with the work they do. How wonderful that I get to look forward to my Monday mornings. 🙂

A peek of sunshine to brighten the afternoon.

Appreciations 4.141 – bedraggled beginnings

Waking up feeling bedraggled after a crazy no-sleep night, only to remember that my first thing to do was to have an inspiring, productive, and fun meeting with the charming Johnny Linn! 😀 What an excellent way to start the day!

Knocking off some pesky little taskies that usually hang around for ages before I get to them. Feels great to get right to ’em!

9 pm bedtime. Yup. It’s a wild life I live. 😉

How interesting things are when they change. Sleep is, for the moment, a strange and unpredictable creature, some days nuzzling up beside me throughout the day, requesting more and more of my time, and on other days, disappearing at 4 am, off to play with someone else for the entire day. How odd and surreal things seem when “normal” isn’t normal any more!

Talking to myself! So helpful on these surreal, hazy days, for keeping me on task. More or less. 😉 I spoke a lot of the steps of my tasks out loud today. Funny!

Micro-tasks! That’s what I decided to call the little things I get done while I’m waiting for something else. Today while I was waiting for my toast to get toasty, I took all the silverware from its drawer and removed all the little crumblies from the drawer. Only took a few minutes and now my silverware drawer looks purdy. 🙂

Going to be absurdly early!

A perfectly perfect Saturday! Getting little taskies done, like clearing out my office supply drawer! I know I don’t need 10 pairs of scissors, 30 or 40 highlighters and dry erase markers, and 3,000 extra pens. And guess what — Katie and Cina needed exactly that many of those things! 😉

After getting little taskies and some work done I headed out with the kids to my folks’ annual church bazaar. So fun to catch up with those friendly people!

Then a brilliant and wonderful dinner with Sarah and Ida. Sarah made the most delicious lentil pasta with crazy-good spinach-garlic-something delicious sauce. Yum! And what a blissful evening of catching up, playing with Ida, and cuddling with cats. ❤ Even Reggie came over to say hi and be petted — a first for me! I know enough to be deeply, deeply honored. 🙂
