Appreciations Year Three: Day 223

Bright sunshine, mild weather, time to go for walks and soak it in.

Looking forward to plans with friends. I love having my future scattered with so much fun and love. ❤

Helpful people who do stuff I don’t know how (and don’t want to learn how) to do. Hooray!

March desktop Changing my desktop background image to something fresh and new and pretty.

Coffee that is exactly the right temperature.

All the different birds in my neighborhood. I love listening to all the different chirpy chirps and twitterings.

March appreciationsThis month’s rainbow appreciation spreadsheet. Maybe April will be all blues and purples and greens. So much fun to be had!

Shoulder rubs, thunderstorms, ukes, violets, waterfalls.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 219

Waking up just as the sun crested the horizon and filled my office with a blaze of light. Gorgeous!

wild rice chicken cashew spinachLast night’s dinner. For you “normal” people who actually cook, this would probably be underwhelming, but for someone like me (who never, ever cooks anything more complex than eggs or toast), a spinach-onion-chicken-cashew-wild rice thingy is pretty freaking awesome. 🙂

Finding this funny little video in my inbox from Katie. (https://youtu.be/8hqdnP5r8JU) My kids take such good care of me. 😉

Looking forward to a little Ruby time today. Hooray!

The smell of sawdust and the memory of being so excited by the possibilities presented by all the tools in my dad’s workshop, the sound of waves washing over the shore and pulling all the little pebbles back with them, word games, puns, penguins, salt, double rainbows.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 218

Little game of peekaboo with the sun today. peekaboo-sun  There it is! Wait – no. Yes. No! Doh!

The sun settling on being out at last. Hooray!

finished slipperOne completed slipper. Time to start on the next one!

Sticky notes in rainbow colors.

Liking my clients and my work so so so much. How lucky I am.

Looking forward to weekend social plans. Friend time. Hooray!

Cheetahs, trees, gluten-free pasta that doesn’t fall apart, rows and rows of tulips, the smell of freshly ground coffee, laughing so hard my eyes water, the fact that my todo list says resume work, meaning work on my résumé, but looks like it is just time to go back to work.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 216

I am ready for some good news. What is good in your life right now??

Here’s some stuff I appreciate…

The sun! Hello beautiful. What a gorgeous start to the day.

Perfectly ripe pears.

My excellent variety of writing instruments, since I never know if it’s gonna be a green pilot ultra-fine point or a crayola glitter marker kinda day. 😉

Lavender, beaches, new books, old books, sunglasses, toe rings, tree frogs, tire swings.

cheerio 4cheerio 2cheerio 3cheerio 1cheerio 5cheerio 6

The very exciting mystery of the cheerio trail, which Katie and I picked up at the end of the block and followed to the middle of the street 6 blocks away… One or two cheerio clues every 6-30 feet or so…. Hmmmm. Some treachery is afoot. (Well, if you step on the cheerios barefoot, that is.) 😛

The silly fun of clock watching and cheering at 1:23:45 am. Yeah, David and I really know how to have fun.

The even goofier fun of my own cheer back at home at 2:34:56 am. (Goofy because I know if f I stay up that late I am GOING TO BE TIRED the next day.) 😉

Sunlight and shadows on my walls. How I love the sun at this time of year. sunlight on wall

Sharp scissors, nail polish, chocolate, lilacs, whistling, trains.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 212

The beginning of spring. I’m looking forward to the greening and the leafing and the budding of the world. Hooray!

Sunshine. I love the sight of the sun brightening the sky and changing the colors from the palest of yellow to pink to blue. Beautiful.

Google’s understanding of the importance of fun.

Coincidences and surprise connections.

Cameras, ducks, baby chicks, fairy wings, very smooth stones.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 208

chalk sunSunshine and warmth, sunshine and warmth, oh how I adore it, this sunshine and warmth. Or, to put it another way:

golden morning light
cats curled up in pools of warmth
springtime beckoning

Morning walk with my darling girl.

St. Urho’s Day. (Heinäsirkka, heinäsirkka, mene täältä hiiteen!)

Springtime sounds, grasshoppers, grapes, dry sidewalks, finding pennies, clean floors, hope.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 194

sun-47083_640Sunshine. OMG sunshine.

And warmth! Did you know that there are 40’s in the forecast?! And if you look far enough ahead, 50º. What a wonderful little miracle that will be!

Really good friends who will call and talk me down and tell me exactly what I need to hear exactly when I need to hear it. Thanks, Debb. Cookie earned. 😉

Appreciations Year Three: Day 181

The sublime pleasure of hanging out with beautiful Jane during Show X last night. What a darling human being. What an excellent show. ❤

This morning’s sunny sunny sunshine. I feel so happy whenever I see the sun these days.

The very silly things that happen during a move… like sitting down to dinner with my folks at the new place and realizing my mom needed a coaster for her drink…only to have her pull one out of her pocket! Hahaha! She’d found it when we were packing, but we’d already packed up the others, so she shoved the lonely coaster in her pocket. Very handy. 😉

Coming home from helping my folks all day to find my own home had been mysteriously cleaned. Sooooo happy Mckenzie was looking for a way to put off homework today… and that this was they way he found to do it!
