Waking up grumpy and thinking, “Huh. That’s weird. I wonder why I’m grumpy. Oh, well. I’m sure I won’t be after a while.” Nice to know that moods are just moods and that there’s no real need to “fix” anything when new moods show up. 😉
Ooooooh what a downpour this morning. And now my lawn is covered in glistening, bright yellow elm leaves from my neighbor’s tree. How pretty!
Rose quartz. I have rocks of various kinds all over the house, but I especially love this big piece of rose quartz that sits on my desk and keeps me company while I work. 🙂
Year 1, Day 80: small kindnesses, rocks, phone
I appreciate:
- The fact that small gestures of kindness can have such a profound effect. Having been the recipient of many such acts recently, it was especially lovely to see my MIL smiling when we took her out to dinner last night.
- Amethyst! It reminds me of our family adventures at the amethyst mine in Canada. We know how to make it rain! ;^) Plus, rocks are just cool.
- My phone, for allowing me to take pix of whatever random thing (or lovely person) I’m appreciating in the moment. 🙂
Year 1, Day 74: great entertainment galore, muppets, malachite
I appreciate:
- Looking forward to amazing shows like Bump in the Night and Ghost Force tonight and Justin K Roth and Danielle Ate the Sandwich at the Aster Cafe tomorrow night.
- The Muppets poster in my office, though Gonzo will never look quite the same to me, thanks to last night’s Comedy Sportz Improv Class 3 rehearsal and Karen Baker. Neither will clowns, for that matter…
- The malachite pyramid on my desk. Malachite is cool!
Year 1, Day 21: Huge Theater, Uniquely Attainable, rose quartz
I appreciate:
- Huge Improv’s awesome Splendid Things on Saturday, what will surely be an amazing Show X tonight and 401 class starting Tuesday. Can’t wait!
- Uniquely Attainable which happened to be parked in my neighborhood yesterday. Scored a great find for Katie’s birthday in just a couple minutes. Coolest shopping ever!
- Rose quartz in all forms, but especially the chunks lying around my house – including the candle holder. What a nice energy that stone has! 🙂
Year 1, Day 11: sidewalk chalk, hazelnut cocoa, this cool rock
1. I appreciate sidewalk chalk. I mean, really, what’s not to like?
2. I appreciate Ghiradelli Chocolate Hazelnut cocoa mix, which has no dairy and can be added to my favorite breakfast beverage for a spectacular (and inexpensive) mocha at home! Did I mention yum??
3. I appreciate this cool rock. The edge of the colored part reminds me of a butterfly. Oh — which I appreciated yesterday! Hahaha. 🙂
