Appreciations 4.189

I appreciate that I am so interested in the stuff of my life that I sometimes maybe rush back into it a little quicker than is, strictly speaking, wise. Achoo! πŸ˜› Oh, well! Yesterday was fun and today I did more resting and will head to bed early again.

Yesterday’s fun trip down memory lane, listening to songs I wrote a few (or many!) years ago. Got me thinking of going back and actually finishing some of them (they’re almost all drafts written in an hour or so. I’m pretty good at starting songs, but not so good at finishing them!) Hmmmm. That’d be an interesting project. Some are from so long ago I don’t even remember writing them….but that’s my voice on the recording, so I must’ve. Hahaha!

More Wodehouse wonders…. like this description of a toddler: “His walking was a bit amateurish and his speech rather hard to follow …” Accurate and hilarious.

Appreciations 4.179 – a lesson of listening

Got a humongous number of pesky taskies done! A satisfying and surprising day that way since I woke up headach-y and tired. Instead of plowing ahead like I’d usually do, I spent an extra hour or so resting after breakfast…and somehow ended up with enough juice to get more done than I do on most days. Hmmmm. Good lesson!

fairy funMore fairy fun – responding to another note from our little neighbor. πŸ˜‰

Late dinner (soup – batch #4. I believe I’ve got the hang of this now!) and early bedtime next. A very satisfying day!

Another yummy morning singing with my beautiful Earthtones. Singing with these women fills me with so much wonder and love.Β πŸ’—

The joy of getting to sing to some of my people! πŸ˜€ Thank you for coming out and making today even more joyful, Katie, Cina, Laura, and Sarah! Ida’s dancing had everyone grinning and giggling!

A lovely visit with Sarah and Ida. It feels like it had been so so so long… you know, like 2 weeks. πŸ˜‰ What a wonderful afternoon of reconnecting!

Big evening of resting. I’m learning more and more about my time and energy resource management (much of it from my darling and inspiring friend Pam). Time for bed!

Another day of resting. Curious how much I’ve needed the past week. Hmmm.

Netflix. Makes a day of resting more fun. πŸ™‚

scratching postOne little project done: Mckenzie and I managed to get the scratching post re-wrapped! Happy kitties, happy couch. πŸ˜‰

Year 1, Day 3: purring, GF bread, flexible job

  1. Grateful for Cimmy and her purr-purr-purring way of waking me up.
  2. Grateful for Udi gluten-free bread and a quick easy breakfast!
  3. I appreciate my flexible job which allows me to work from home or at the office depending on how I feel. Today I’m at home — mere footsteps away from a nap if I should need it! πŸ™‚

Year 1, Day 2: RMSS memories, sleep, missing Katie

1. Grateful for RMSS memories floating around me and infusing my day with randomΒ happy thoughts (like watching the meteor blaze across the sky while listening to music at Camp Waylay and like Bethel Steele sandwich hugs that left me breathless with laughter and love).
2. I so appreciate my soft bed, freshly laundered sheets (thank you, dear) and the luxury of sleeping 10 hours!!
3. I appreciate loving Katie Korpi so much that despite having spent 12 straight days with her, I already miss her now that she’s back at school! β™₯
