Appreciations 4.185 – more giggles and grins

Wonderful visit with Pam this afternoon. Even though we were both on the verge of claiming the day for down time, we remembered that we get energy from spending time together. Yay, us! I love how wide ranging our conversations are – always interesting, enlightening, and full of laughs. πŸ˜€ 3D coloring book

The amazing present Pam gave me – a coloring book full of geometric patterns and squiggly shapes like the ones I like to draw…. and it comes with 3D glasses!!! So. Much. Fun!

Looking back on a truly sweet weekend… so many good RubyCuddles and games and conversations and playtime with my amazing friends.lucky star Ohhhh – I guess I should thank my lucky star… like this one Pam made for me today! (It’s about as big a dime… but puffy!!) Heh. πŸ™‚

Appreciations 4.173 – snow fish!

Another wonderful vet visit at Uptown Vet. Poor Toby is such an anxious cat, but everyone there was very sweet and gentle with him! I even got some ideas on how to help him become a less anxious kitty. πŸ™‚

Doing things my way – my take on the “Be like” meme

If you’re a Facebook user, you’ve probably seen the “Be like Bill” meme. I like to participate in silly games like that, so clicked on it to get my personalized “Be like Diana” image to post… but after clicking “Try again” 5 or 6 times, didn’t get one I wanted to post. Some of them are sort of funny β€” and I celebrate everyone who is enjoying them β€” but mostly they feel too narrow (m/f only for gender) and shaming for my taste.

I am lucky to have the tools at my disposal to find a way to play (thank you, Photoshop!) and made a couple that fit better for me. πŸ˜€

Appreciations Year Three: Day 180 – the geek edition (as if there’s only one of these!)

This cat purr noise generator site. Seriously, so much fun — and surprisingly calming to run in the background during the work day.

The thrill of adding new code to the JavaScript file using the Chrome Dev Ed and committing the changes and pushing them to my GitHub repo so Dave can see them.Β ALL ON MY OWN. See me learning fancy new stuff?! Fancy new IMPORTANT stuff. How else would I come up with the idea for a story about a “remarkably unremarkable scullery maid who must tame the fierce dragon Kolwandon to liberate Prince Darling”? πŸ˜›

Pretty snow – light and fluffy and not so much that it causes problems. πŸ™‚
