Appreciations 4.139 – DAY 1234!

Oooooh – it’s day 139 of my 4th year of appreciations….but that makes it day 1234 since I started. Yay for number fun! πŸ˜€

Lewis Carroll for the joy of his Alice stories.

Pam, for using Frabjous Day! in her appreciations today which reminded me of all that fun and inspired this morning’s coloring meditation. Callooh! Callay!

Rose quartz. So pretty and calming. I like that I have lots of it in the house. πŸ™‚

Appreciations 4.56

Ohhh – more number fun! 4.56! πŸ˜›

Another fabulous meeting with John. What a delightful start to my day! ❀

Having so much fun with Pamela while she received her Elixir of Radiant Health at The Spa. Oh how we laughed and joked with the wonderful staff there. And we had such nice walkies – the three of us abreast – me, Pam, and Pam’s PatientPal (yes, that’s what the wheely-pole thingy that holds the bags of elixir is called!!) with Pam’s beautifully choreographed spins when we turned around at the end of the hall. What else? More enlightening, illuminating, inspiring conversation; watching the leaves dance upwards off the trees; and yes, of course, even singing. πŸ˜‰ It was fun to meet more members of the Pam Fan Club, like Amy and Nancy and all the other folks there who remembered Pam and were clearly so enchanted by my darling friend. We all love Pam’s energy, intentionality, charm, and wit. ❀ Oooooh, and the valet parking! That is pretty nifty, I tell ya. A girl could get used to that kind of thing! What a precious afternoon. πŸ™‚

parsley potatoesHaving just enough energy left over to cook when I got home – I made parsley potatoes with fresh parsley! For a gal who has barely cooked at all in the past 7 or 8 years, this is a big deal. Looks like this old dog CAN learn new tricks. πŸ˜€

Appreciations Year Three: Day 230

thank-you-bottom-of-my-heartMy super awesome cheering section of friends and family. What a wonderful deluge of funny and happify-ing things today! I am so lucky to have comfort and care all around me when I need it. ❀

Numbers and license plates getting together to try to cheer me up with numeric fun. Within the space of 5 minutes I saw plates that started with 888, 666, and 333. I do love patterns.

Patterns!

Things getting better. If you wait long enough, they always do. πŸ˜‰

Knowing how to type. So handy and fun. What? It IS fun! Yes it is.

Lightbulbs, Arnie Palmers, fabric stores, rocks, cool looking hats, made up songs.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 144

Writing this post at 11:11 on 1/11.Β  Yup, that is super pleasing!

Bringing 7 bags of books to Half Price books… both for the sense of accomplishment about reducing clutter and for the fun of browsing in the bookstore — and scoring a 50Β’ copy of A Swiftly Tilting Planet.

Brilliant workshop at Huge with Β talented & engaged fellow students — and freaking awesome teachers! So much good stuff. Can’t wait to try out some of these tools!

Dinner with Danny and Alison. What a fun night!

Year 1, Day 114: triple 12, home from driving, nice drive and a donkey, snowdrifts

I appreciate:

  • That it’s 12/12/12!
  • That I am back home (with Katie!!) after driving all day. πŸ™‚ I also appreciate that despite getting back to town at rush hour, it only added an extra 20 minutes to the trip total. Phew.
  • That it was warm and sunny today so the roads were pretty clear. Oh, and it was really nice weather for driving. OH – and I saw a donkey on the way to Morris, which reminded me of Show X on Monday (ask Andrew Zimmern about donkey if you’re curious).
  • The spectacularly beautiful snowdrifts along Hwy 28.

Year 1, Day 91: numbers, caffeine, !!!! :), and β™₯

I appreciate:

  1. That day 91 (well, 91.25, so depending on whether we’re using the 24-hour day starting at midnight or my real day which started at about 6:45, either 6 am or 12:45 pm…) represents the first quarter year of posting daily appreciation on FB. Yay gratitude! Yay numbers! Yay geekiness!
  2. Caffeine. Can you tell who’s had more than her usual dose this morning?!?? πŸ˜› Yay caffeine!
  3. Exclamation points and smiley faces!!! πŸ™‚
  4. Last night with little Miss R. So much fun to spend time with her. Fills my heart right up! β™₯ β™₯ β™₯

Year 1, Day 73: numbers, comedy, distractions, time for work

Today I appreciate:

  • That Day 73 represents 1/5 of my year of FB gratitude posts. Numbers are fun. πŸ˜›
  • The upcoming Improv-a-thon HUGE Theater (Nov 15) and all the fun and excitement leading up to it!
  • My upcoming showcase Comedy Sportz Showcase (Nov 10) [I’ll try to get to inviting people today…] and all the fun and excitement leading up to that!
  • The myriad pleasant distractions my life affords me.
  • Having a little time to get back to work today. Almost like a “regular” day!

Year 1, Day 23: 23, flat rate mailing boxes, Sharpie markers

I appreciate:

  1. The number 23. Not only is it the date of my birthday, but it’s just good number fun. I also like 34, 45, 56, 67, 78, 89 and 1:23, 3:45 etc. Remember how much I like my own geekiness? Oh, it just shows up in so many ways!!
  2. Flat rate priority mail boxes. So easy to ship Pat P’s books for him — and get packages to my beautiful Katie out in Morris. No guessing — if it fits in the box, you know the cost!
  3. Sharpie markers. Especially when they’re crisp and new!
