Year 1, Day 55: boots, Kismet, family weekend

I appreciate:

Boots! There’s something fun about wearing a dress and boots. Thanks, Debb, for giving me my first pair — and helping me find my second pair for cheap at Kismet. I am now an official addict.
Kismet and other second-hand stores for supplying such cool boots for cheap!
Katie being home for 4 days and the luxury of weekends. Not everybody gets to have time off like this, and I truly appreciate the time to rest, hang out with my family….and go shopping with Katie…to buy us both some boots. 😛

I appreciate Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, the fun of listening to it in my (still messy) house with Katie and Ryan, and the word scurrilous (which Tom Hanks used during his segment). Words and things are fun.

Seeing Michael Bruckmueller and Jill Bernard in a fabulous ComedySportz show with my classmates last night!
My funny, sweet, brilliant, generous, insightful, beautiful, and now 21-year old(!) daughter, Katie. ♥
