Appreciations 1/26-2/5: spilt milk, support, staying, silliness, and Scrabble!

Laughing over spilt milk… especially when Sarah, Ida, and I take turns, each spilling spectacularly once, in the same place, during the course of one weekend. Hahaha!

Spill Gremlins….the ones we’ve determined are responsible for the milk (and subsequent vegetable) spills. What a funny house we live in! 😆

Delicious dinner of fish and chips. Thank you for the treat, Sarah!

Ida dancing around the living room to the Ultimate Family Dance Party station while Sarah and I do some couch dancing. 🤗

My new yard sign and my neighborhood’s commitment to supporting ALL of its residents.

Ida’s new addition to the “Nana upstairs, too?” request. Now when I’m about to leave to go back upstairs she says, “Nana, stay!” Oh, how I love that kid!! 💜

This most awesome card from my cousin Debb. She is so thoughtful and funny!

Antibiotics that do their job quickly and well. Plus the cessation of continual coughing! 😆

Dinner with the Terri, Ellis, Sara, Rochelle and all the kiddos. What bliss.

Playing Scrabble with my mom! 💜

Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Eva Ibbotson, E.L. Konigsburg, and Cornelia Funke, all of whom brighten my life with their words!

Sunflowers.

Toby and his weird pose of the day. Must. Hold. Foot.

Katie and Cina. They make me laugh! ❤

Nice afternoon walk with Jeff.

Ida time. ❤

Drive home along Theo Wirth Pkwy with my window cracked enough to hear the thunder – but not so much I got soaked by rain. 😉 Beautiful lightning show. Beautiful drive.

Remembering the pretty fawn I saw on the way to Sarah’s last night.

Sunday morning Farmers Market blueberries. Yum.

Books that make me laugh out loud. 😀

332
Farmer’s market green beans. I love summer!

Trying out a new schedule with reduced (that is, more realistic) expectations. I think I’ll get just as much done – maybe more…since I won’t have to spend so much time beating myself up for not getting more done. 😉

Delicious, scrumptious dinner with Ruby and Ellis. Thank you, Ellis! That was soooooo yummy! ❤

Appreciations 4.291 – back on the grid

Getting back up after a few down days.

The joy of preparing Pillsbury Plaza for Debb’s visit. So. Much. Fun. Thanks for the help and inspiration, Mckenzie, Katie, and Cina!

Last night’s side-splitting giggle fest with Debb when we took a selfie to share with Libby for her birthday. Happy birthday, cuz!! We even channeled Aunt Barb’s silent laugh and Ivan’s foot-stomping, knee-slapping laugh! It’s all in the family. 😉

Appreciations 4.266 – sun and rainbow drops

sun-and-rainbow-dropsIt was fun to see the sunshine for a few minutes yesterday. Even that little break from the rain made it possible for me to wake up loving the sound of the drip drops on my roof today.

Reacquainting myself with laughter. Oh, right… that thing I love to do! Ha ha ha ha ha!

Good news from my tests this week: normal pulmonary function (which is a great thing if you’re using the meds I’m on!) AND bonus hemoglobin of 12.3. way to go, body!!

Pixabay, whose images I use for all sorts of things – including teaching myself photoshop!

A no-appointment day that allows me some uninterrupted work time! I’m already down from 29 messages in my Action folder to 11. Yay!

Another wonderful card Dennis! Thanks for the day-brightener, cousin! ❤IMG_4335

Unexpected giggles. After talking about our favorite (now out of print) books from childhood, David sent me a copy of one of his favorites. So funny! I learned a lot about the friendship between koalas and kangaroos, the dangers of grasshoppers, and the excitement presented when a pink airplane full of circus equipment falls from the sky. Hahahaha! 😀

A pile of freshly laundered, folded (all the same way) towels. 😛

Appreciations 4.199 – snuggles, giggles, and smiles

Luna snuggleSnuggly, purring, beautiful Lunabelle. What a sweet girl!

Nice little chat with Pat today. I learned that I’m his favorite ex-wife. Hahaha! 😀

Picking up my prescription today and witnessing another act of kindness!  The woman checking out didn’t have quite enough cash to cover her medication and right away the woman behind her in line pulled out her wallet and handed her the money she needed. I love seeing us being wonderful to each other. 💗

Appreciations – 4.150

You are lovedAnother lovely start to the day – coloring and meditation music. Mmmmm. Used some of that serenity when I went out to find the car wouldn’t start! 😉

I love that I had a feeling that I should do errands and come back home before leaving for today’s gig  – instead of stopping on my way out as I’d planned! It gave me enough time to arrange a ride (thanks, Dad!) and get out to Apple Valley in plenty of time to lead laughter yoga. 🙂

So much fun laughing with a big group of engaged, enthusiastic, excellent laughers today! Very good, very good, yay!! 😀

AAA’s terrific service. I’m glad I got to sit inside my house while I waited for them to come out and jump the car. It was really quick — and now my car’s all happy again. 🙂 The friendly, helpful guy who came out said he stopped counting how many jump starts he’d done today after about 60!

Appreciations Year Three: Day 260

The beautiful gardens in my neighborhood.  What fun to walk by and see the changes each day!

Soft, warm weather that instantly improves my mood when I walk out into it.

Publicity work that does its job and results in a very nice article!

MarioProv with some of my favorite human beings.

Alison & Andy for creating the parking lot bit.

Andy for heightening and truly committing to the parking lot bit. OMG that was hilarious.  Genius!

Rain boots and puddles, rainbows and riddles, Grey Goose and fiddles, tea.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 231

The incredible people in my life.  I am continually grateful for the amazingly sweet, funny, supportive, brilliant, creative, wonderful people I encounter every day. ❤

Sun trying to peek out from behind the pearly gray skies.

Pam, for her use of the phrase “living in the pearl” to describe our gray weather.  So much more depth and beauty if you think of it that way. 🙂

Outtakes.  Srsly.  It cracks me up to watch people cracking up.

Laughs, giggles, guffaws, chortles, hoots, howls, chuckles.  All those things.
