Appreciations Year Three: Day 208

chalk sunSunshine and warmth, sunshine and warmth, oh how I adore it, this sunshine and warmth. Or, to put it another way:

golden morning light
cats curled up in pools of warmth
springtime beckoning

Morning walk with my darling girl.

St. Urho’s Day. (Heinäsirkka, heinäsirkka, mene täältä hiiteen!)

Springtime sounds, grasshoppers, grapes, dry sidewalks, finding pennies, clean floors, hope.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 203

gremlin face treeThis mind-bogglingly beautiful weather. What an amazing joy it is to go for a walk with no need for a jacket!

Gremlin faces gazing out at me from trees.

All the sounds of a walk through my little neighborhood: my own footsteps; wind blowing through the trees, jangling wind chimes, jingling my earrings; airplanes and cars; melted snow rushing downhill to the storm sewer; birds singing; kids voices:
“I like to ride down the hill”
“I have my own bike”
“I want to go down a hill. Daddy, I saw a girl!”
“I know, you were having a conversation with her!”

So much deliciousness all around. ❤

Appreciations Year Three: Day 198

Free range sleeping.

The hilarious surprise when I pressed command+ yesterday (to enlarge the font in a Preview doc) and activated the text to voice feature on my mac (it was the pipe organ sound, so I heard my calendar updates as a song. LOL.)! I don’t remember changing that setting — but what a fun break from doing web updates. 😉

Surprisingly amusing errands with the kids last night. All the cashiers (and even people in line with us) were so animated and cheerful and talkative. Fun!

Sunshine and an extended forecast with no highs below 34º – and one predicted high of 56!!! Yeah, baby.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 184

Spending some quality time with Mckenzie who came out to help clean up the Eagan house (somebody had to get up on that stepladder and clean those ceiling fan blades!).

Random late-night silliness in the kitchen. It may mean I am more tired the next day, but I love those little pockets of joy and fun and will continue to soak them all up whenever they happen — reasonable bedtime be damned. 😉

Luna behaving more or less normally — no middle of the night caterwauling!

Year 1, Day 62: Katie, improv day, quiet Sunday

I appreciate:

  1. Talking with my amazing kid, Katie Korpi, yesterday. Nothing special, I just love her. ♥
  2. A most wondrous day of improv yesterday: Class at CS, drinks with classmates then back to CS for show, then over to Huge with Elissa for 10:30 show. Awesome!
  3. Sunday morning coffee-newspaper-clock-ticking quietude.
