Appreciations Year Three: Day 258

Going walkies in my neighborhood and being greeted by flowering trees that stretch down over the sidewalk to say hello.

Calling walks “going walkies” like Pam does. Her way with words always delights me!

Productive day in between morning walk and evening walk.

Beautiful weather, flowers, greenifying, sunshine, city.

Nice little visit with my dad.

Daydreaming about what cool classes I’ll take when I have a little more time: swing dance, archery, positive psychology, drawing, painting, graphic design, tai chi, qi gong, and certainly lots more I haven’t even thought of. So much good stuff to learn!

Jill for so many reasons, not the least of which is her regular posting of funny, thought-provoking, and delightful things on FB. So many smiles, so much silliness, mucha diversión!

Appreciations Year Three: Day 256

Stating and affirming goals and plans – especially when they include singing, improv, teaching, and friends!

Our crazy weather… true, it’s in the 70’s and 80’s this weekend, but it is still possible that it will snow this month. I think the only month it’s never snowed in MN is July. Funny to get out all our sandals, but not yet put away our scarves and heavy coats. Hahaha!

Cough drops, lavender, talkative kitties, clover, sparkly stones in the road, swings, neighborhood kids laughing, artists, optimists, optometrists. 😉

Appreciations Year Three: Day 255

Out with the old (broken and icky) and in with the new (gorgeous!). Thanks Mom & Dad – sorry it didn’t work in your space, but pretty dang happy it works in mine. 😉

Rainbow carrots from the co-op! How fun that the different colors have very slightly different carrot flavors!

Amazing afternoon in Peggy’s backyard, celebrating her birthday and retirement, and reconnecting and SINGING with my beloved Earthtones friends. So much happiness squished into a couple little hours. ❤

Appreciations Year Three: Day 254

Really great visit with my folks with added storage bench bonus!

Such a fun evening with the kids! Delightful errands after 9 pm… Super funny and/or sweet interactions with the clerks, including hearing this story: “My brother had a name picked out for me. If I had been born a boy with blue hair, my name was going to be Scabby Dog.” Had all of us (3 store employees and the kids and me) giggling together. Really good.

This video of suddenly falling asleep kitten, which I’ve now watched 6 or 7 times and which still makes me laugh. Out loud.

Playfulness, friendly people, baby animals, plants, green and blooming and spring, beautiful red sunsets (after 8 pm!), savoring good moments, giggles, pickles, dimples, wine.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 253

My own persistence in looking for better thoughts – even when I wake up with pink eye and my first thought is, “Seriously? This, too??” It took a long time this morning to get to a place of ease and comfort, but I made it. Whew.

Pam, whose really beautiful appreciations help me along that path on days like today. And for labeling the pink eye “the bunny disease” which totally makes it more fun!

All the other sweet friends who helped me without even knowing it (I just imagined all y’all’n saying things like “Aww, poor baby!” and “It’s going to get better soon!” and “You can do it!”). What awesome secret helpers you all are. Thank you! ❤

Extra coffee. Some days that is just the right thing. 🙂

Appreciations Year Three: Day 252

Energy to attend to lots of stuff yesterday — no dizzy spells until about 8:30. Yay!

Falling asleep really really quickly, really really early. Like a toddler after a day at the park! 😛

21 years with the best son a mama could want. What a funny, fascinating, fabulous journey it’s been!

5 years with the best Ruby an Aunt Dinana could want! 😉 So fun to celebrate these bright, bright lights in my life on the same day. ❤

Sunshine and blue skies and a predicted high in the 60’s. What beautiful weather for this special day!

Appreciations Year Three: Day 248

The couple I saw yesterday who were both carrying rainbow colored umbrellas. The couple I saw much later yesterday who, when walking across the street in front of me, stopped to jump in a big puddle. Way to enjoy the rain, people! 🙂

My funny little brain for thinking that because it is Saturday, I now have super human powers and can accomplish 8 hours of work, 8 hours of errands, 8 hours of projects, 8 hours of housework, and 8 hours of friend time ALL IN ONE DAY. 😀

Appreciations Year Three: Day 247

The Minneapolis night skyline. I never get tired of it.

The color of the Children’s Hospital. I think of how much I appreciate that every time I pass it but never remember to add to my appreciations on the same day. 😉

Looking out my kitchen window at trees leafing out and the lit up stained glass window of the church just beyond them.

My kids. I really like them.

Pam for a gazillion reasons. So happy she’s making friends with Silli and is into the next phase of her spa adventure. ❤

All kinds of rocks, learning more stuff each time I build a new website, tools, tulle, paint, zippers, zip-zap-zop, hot water for tea and coffee, tea and coffee, blankets, sleep, photographs.
