Appreciations Year Three: Day 279

Lovely visit with the Delaneys and the gang at the castle yesterday. So much big love in a short little space of time. ❀

The way it sounds when it starts raining really hard. Downpour!

A most amicable, amazing, and amusing lunch with Amy today! πŸ˜€

Feeling better — able to work for a few hours today. Hooray!

Stopping work and watching Big Hero 6 with the kids. Yup, that’s the kind of awesome house I live in. πŸ˜‰

Nice chat with my brother this evening. I’m so excited they are moving back to MN!!

New ideas, goofy friends, feeling optimistic, dishwashers, chickadees, perfect putts that you really don’t have the skill to make, but make anyway.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 278

Tylenol. Ohhhh how much I appreciate that today.

My dad and his willingness to hunt down good deals and offer excellent advice on computer shopping. πŸ™‚

Laid back evening hanging out with the kids. ❀

Sunshine peeking out after a rainy weekend. Hello, sunshine!

Pillows, quilts and blankets, comfy robes, slippers, socks, so many comforting things for snuggling. Sweet.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 277

Heating pad to soothe achy muscles and hot tea to soothe a sore throat.

Figuring out that sometimes when you sleep 4-5 hours more than usual in a given day, it means your immune system is busy, not that you’re just tired. πŸ˜‰

Rainy weekend for making days of napping and resting seem like the exactly right option (though I’m sorry for those of you whose plans were adversely affected by the rain!).

Nice little visit from my folks today. How sweet that they brought me flowers!

These sounds: rain on the roof, cats purring and snoring, quiet clock ticking in a still house, cars driving through puddles and making splashy splashy sounds.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 275

Photoshop Elements and the fun of playing and learning. πŸ˜€

Coconut, which shows up in a lot of my gluten-free and dairy-free foods — and which is truly delicious.

Sunny warm weather, perfect for walks and working on the yard!

Appreciations Year Three: Day 274

irises may 2015Walking around our neighborhood with my kids. Great talk, gorgeous gardens, beautiful weather. Perfect!

Improving energy — enough to work, go for a walk, spend some time looking for a job, go to class, and socialize after class! Almost like the good ol’ pre-health-craziness days. πŸ™‚

Feeling hopeful and optimistic. What a comfort it is to live in that space!

Alison for her ability to make me laugh, smile, giggle, ponder, wonder, aspire, hope, blush, consider, stretch and grow. I love her quick and wry sense of humor, her goofiness, her big, generous open heart, her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and excellent hugs, her directness, candor, and sweetness. Among other things. πŸ˜‰ How lucky I am to be surrounded by wonderful people like her in my life! ❀

Dandelions, lions, Lyons, Colorado, donuts, dodos, cheetahs.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 273

Pam. Her words, her thoughts, her wry observations lift me up every day and help me keep doing what I intend to, even when habit or mood or energy threaten to shift me off course. So much love for this wonderfully wise, wildly witty, wondrously warm,Β  woman! ❀ (I mean this gloriously genuine, greatly good,Β gleefully generous gal. I mean this decidedly delightful, divertingly darling, daringly droll dame. I mean this supremely smart, satisfyingly sassy, shockingly sweet sister.) πŸ˜‰

Alliteration. Yeah, I really do like that. πŸ˜›

Cinnamon.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 272

Lisa, for getting me the awesome teaching gig, and for making the whole process such a delight from start to finish! And for the super fun talk we had afterward. What a fascinating, funny, fabulous lady! ❀

The terrific people who came to the workshops today – especially those who were nervous and unsure, but who jumped right in there anyway. Way to go, you brave souls! What a fun day!

PRETTY FLOWERSThese pretty flowers, whatever they are. Every time I pass them, they look bigger and more friendly! πŸ™‚

Drinking glasses – especially colored ones, vision-correcting glasses (which make it possible for me to see what I am typing RIGHT NOW), sunglasses, glassware, glassy-smooth lakes, pizza.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 271

The heady scent of the lilacs I cut from our bush and put on a vase on my desk.

Getting promoted to “moderately anemic” due to my improving numbers.Β  Yay!

Learning that getting out of the anemia zone will also help my heart function — so maybe I can get that EF back up over 25%.Β  Wouldn’t that be amazing!!!!

The fun challenge of putting together an improv workshop with a very specific goal and intended for non-improvisers…and only 50 minutes long. πŸ™‚ What a fun and interesting task!

Secret passages, dead ends that let you know it is time to turn around and look for something different, labyrinth walks, cuckoo clocks, TED talks.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 270

Lying down when the dizzy gets too spinny.Β  Oh the joy of couch time!

Recovering enough from the spinny to make it to musical improv rehearsal.Β  I love this!

Making new friends.

Storms, strawberries, stickers, starlight, stepping stones (literal and figurative), stunts, style.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 269

Diana's cardDrawing party with David and the Duncan girls. What fun!

Really good improv time with the Haha ladies. πŸ˜‰

Finding misplaced things.

Funny people, fresh produce, fancy plans, faraway places, figgy pudding. Okay, I’ve never actually tried figgy pudding, but it fits the pattern. And I’d probably like it.
