Appreciations Year Three: Day 298

Luxurious visit with Sarah & Ida. It’s amazing how many changes can happen in just a few weeks. So great to reconnect and go for a little walk in the neighborhood. ❤

Always finding some new delight (like these flowers, which smelled amazing) whenever I go for a walk.

The bustling Kingfield Farmer’s Market – what a change from those first few years (14 years ago!) when it was just a couple of us artisans and a few produce people. What fun to have been there at the beginning and to now enjoy all that it’s become!

The many things so easy to take for granted that make life easier and more comfortable like heat and A/C, running water, lights, appliances, furniture, blankets, computers, desks, doorknobs, coffee grinders…so many things I surely don’t know how to make, but find incredibly helpful! 🙂

All those years I didn’t have to go to a laundromat to do laundry. 😉

Appreciations Year Three: Day 294

Perfectly perfect weather for my first “I’m not walking to get somewhere, I’m walking just to walk” walk in a long time! What bliss.

The unbelievably yummy sights and scents provided by the gardens in my neighborhood – especially this year since I’ve not had the time and energy to tend to my own. Thanks, neighbors! ❤

The way tiny little details can be so incredibly pleasing, like the little wind-chime-y sound of my earrings in the wind as I walked. Sweet.

My funny, charming, clever, ambitious, talented, enchanting friends who light up my life, make the world a fascinating place, and, uh, make a little time dinging around on facebook completely worthwhile. 😉

Appreciations Year Three: Day 281

Wonderful conversation with sweet Timmy. How I love having friends like Timmy who are on a sometimes parallel-ish journey and with whom it is so easy to reconnect no matter how many days-weeks-months it has been since our last conversation. ❤ ❤ ❤

Doing things that scare and excite me. What a cool adventure this whole life thing is.

My continually evolving relationship with acceptance, good-enough, should, imperfection, mistakes, shame, grace, joy. I love the little part of my brain that thinks at some point I will “get it right”! Oh, brain, you are so funny!

Kent and LALA, who are silly and lovely and sweet and who make me smile and laugh on a regular basis. ❤

My JimmyD friends who make me laugh out loud even when I don’t get to see them in person.

Smarter Every Day and Mental Floss videos. What a good way to spend the evening. (Not as good as improv class, but more restful at least. You’re welcome, immune system.)

Lovely visit with the Delaneys and the gang at the castle yesterday. So much big love in a short little space of time. ❤

Feeling better — able to work for a few hours today. Hooray!

Stopping work and watching Big Hero 6 with the kids. Yup, that’s the kind of awesome house I live in. 😉

Nice chat with my brother this evening. I’m so excited they are moving back to MN!!

New ideas, goofy friends, feeling optimistic, dishwashers, chickadees, perfect putts that you really don’t have the skill to make, but make anyway.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 274

Walking around our neighborhood with my kids. Great talk, gorgeous gardens, beautiful weather. Perfect!

Improving energy — enough to work, go for a walk, spend some time looking for a job, go to class, and socialize after class! Almost like the good ol’ pre-health-craziness days. 🙂

Feeling hopeful and optimistic. What a comfort it is to live in that space!

Alison for her ability to make me laugh, smile, giggle, ponder, wonder, aspire, hope, blush, consider, stretch and grow. I love her quick and wry sense of humor, her goofiness, her big, generous open heart, her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and excellent hugs, her directness, candor, and sweetness. Appreciations Year Three: Day 272

Lisa, for getting me the awesome teaching gig, and for making the whole process such a delight from start to finish! And for the super fun talk we had afterward. What a fascinating, funny, fabulous lady! ❤

The terrific people who came to the workshops today – especially those who were nervous and unsure, but who jumped right in there anyway. Way to go, you brave souls! What a fun day!
