What a nice visit with Debb – productive errands (well, for me, anyway…) and yummy lunch. So nice to see her again! So nice of her to drive me around. 😉

Suddenly summer weather and sandals!

Quiet evening of couch time after this busy weekend. Whew!

All the sweet and funny comments you lovely people posted today. Thank you! I’m still in weepy mode, but my therapist assures me this is very common after a medical trauma and a good sign that I’m processing it, which is nice to know. It’s so unusual for me that it took me by surprise. 😉

Minneapolis’ new organics recycling program. We got our starter bags in the mail and should get our cart next week!

Mckenzie, who very sweetly walked me today so I could get some sunshine despite my anxiety. 🙂

Walking outside barefoot!

A nice little visit with Jeff when he drove me to my appointment today.

Wonderful, patient Amy at the heart clinic. She sat with me for over half an hour answering all my questions about what to expect, my heart, my meds, the PTSD. She is truly wonderful!!

Fun non-appointment outing with Laura (since I mixed up the date of my appointment, which isn’t until Thursday….). She is so fun and lively. I love spending time with her! 😀

Amazingly delicious dinner with the girls. Cina is an amazing cook! I love that so many of my friends are good cooks…and that they like to cook for me! 😉

The Princess Bride 20th Anniversary Edition cover… the title works no matter which end is up. I love this! ❤ Thank you, Bryan’s friend, Joy, for pointing this out! 🙂

Appreciations 4.231 – pondering

IMG_4215Lots of time and reasons for pondering lately. Yesterday, 2 dear and wonderful people I know died. It reminds me how fragile our lives are! And yet, how resilient we are, too. When we are faced with such tragedies, it gives us the opportunity to provide incredible love and support to the people who need it most. And so many of us do just that. I know I’ve been on the receiving end of that intense love and compassion a lot during the past few years, and am so grateful for it. And…I know that the love and care I can offer to my friends now has a powerful effect, too.

It’s amazing to me to experience, in the space of a few weeks, how much a kind word or message or, well, a ride somewhere 😉 can mean. Small gestures can have so much impact. And, having felt that, it reminds me that although I can’t fix anything or do lots of practical things for my friends right now, my small gestures can help, too. I like that.

What else do I appreciate? More little things like hot coffee, crazy blowing snow whizzing past budding trees and grass, blankets, goofy jokes, candles, raspberry jelly, stuffed animals, sidewalk chalk, and really sharp pencils with good erasers.

I also super appreciate looking forward to fun plans with Sarah, Terri, and Ellis this weekend, and weekly dinners with Katie and Cina. 🙂 Oh, and the fact that needing to ask for rides to everything means I get to see a lot more of the charming people in my life! ❤❤❤

Soft snow turning to soft mist coming down on greening new buds.

Cina, who is not only super fun to hang out with, but will drive me to Target. On a very regular basis. 😉

Jerilyn, who supplied us with dinner and made the evening so easy. And yummy. 🙂

Sara, for taking on so many new Skynote tasks, making the past couple weeks SO much easier. And for setting up the Meal Train for us, making the past couple weeks SO much easier. And for being a lively, lovely friend who makes my life better. 😀

Katie and Cina whose energy, humor, love, understanding, silliness, and helpfulness have made these past few weeks so much better than they might have been. ❤❤❤
