Yesterday’s wonderful work date with Ellis. Fun and productive! 😀

Sitting in the living room watching and listening to the storm with Mckenzie and Cina last night. What wild wind!

Delightful walk and lunch with Laura today. Delicious food from Patisserie 46 and excellent company. Fun! ❤

306. Hawkins Automotive. They always do such a great job and are friendly and fast, too! Fun and productive meeting with Sara. Playing Bananagrams with the kids during the thunderstorm. Minneapolis skyline at night. Theo Wirth Pkwy.

307. Trees with faces. Perfect weather for a walk. Summer purples and yellows and whites, oh my.

308. Being the Minneapolis hub for Katie and Cina! I love the lunchtime visits with Cina and the before- or after-meeting/rehearsal visits with Katie. So sweet to see my girls so often! 😀 # happymama

Starting to see some relief from the depression. How fortunate I am to have a solid support network of awesome friends and family — and meds to help when the non-pharmaceutical methods aren’t quite enough.  #onedayatatime

The promise of thunderstorms. I love stormy weather!

Hahaha – I love that both Pam and I appreciated blustery and Winnie the Pooh yesterday! Fun. 😀

IMG_3622Color contrasts! I loved watching the albino squirrel scamper across the road today – a bright spot of white against the browns and grays of the fallen leaves. I also love the sumac leaves, still so vibrantly red against the same background! 🙂

Audio books. Since I’m looking at screens and reading so much of every day, It’s a treat to lean back and listen to stories with my eyes closed.

The hundreds of ideas for things to do that are always bumping around inside my head. So many things sound appealing!

IMG_3530The still radiant sparks of color. I especially love how they stand out in contrast to the already browning leaves. I’m continually amazed by how intensely pleasing I find my environment all year round. I seem to find something gorgeous is around every corner. 😀

Daily doodles! Okay, well, right now they are just occasional doodles, but I will work them in to daily doodles! Today was a double-duty doodle day because Pam and I did more doodles for Jenn during Pam’s Infusion of Radiant Elixir of Life! daily doodle #2

Spending time with Pamela at the Masonic Center. Wow, did that time fly by! We chatted and laughed and doodled, and talked and joked with the lovely staff there. Then Pam treated me to a delicious dinner at the Neighborhood Cafe. Oh, and how much do I love that Pam knows that it is a 40-second walk from her house!?! So much. We birds of a feather do flock together! OH! Birds! We got to see the rafter (or gang) of wild turkeys, too! What a fun drive along the river!!

When I spend time with Pam I come away feeling lighter, brighter, wiser, happier, and deeply satisfied. My life is such a rich tapestry of beautiful, inspiring, amazing people. I love that. ❤

Finishing work in time to get out for a quick walk before the sun went down all the way!

November weather that allows me to go for a walk at 5 pm wearing a skirt and sweater. Okay, I was a little chilly since the sun was setting, but still. Pretty nifty weather! 🙂

The still beautiful colors of the leaves. This extended version of fall sure has been amazing! Off to sing with the lovely ladies of the Earthtones. Great way to end a Monday!!

Zucchini.

Taking the extra 10 or 15 minutes to take the long way home…along the river. The vibrant leaves seemed to glow against the steely gray sky. I love the gorgeous views all around the cities. Every season seems to fill me with awe. And it makes for such nice drives!

Katie’s awesome owl-pumpkin, which inspired my awesome daily doodle. Which i just decided is a thing. 😉

Todo list 10:16:15Today’s To-dos. I like colorful things!

Finally getting my “Action” folder down under 20 items! It’s been at 30-40 for weeks and it’s been driving me crazy. So happy I finally had both the time and energy (at the same time!) to start whittling it back down. Phew!

The fun stories I hear when I ask people (like my bank teller or store clerks) if they have a fun weekend planned. It’s so enjoyable to get a little glimpse into people’s lives — and to see them enjoying that someone is interested. How easy it is to make little tasks like errands enjoyable. 🙂

Appreciations 4.48 – words, colors, warmth, helpful folks

More delightful words I encountered today: Sanguine. Propinquity.

trees on pleasant 10:7:15Colors. I realize I talk about/appreciate them every day, but wowsers. The view down this street is just going to get more and more amazing during the next week or so. So fun to watch the transition! Those flaming leaves against the azure sky are just knocking my socks off.

Socks off! Sandal weather on October 7th! True, I added long pants and a sweater, but still. Glorious weather for a midday walk!

The helpful people of Minneapolis. Clearly this planter was having some trouble seeing, so somebody found it a pair of glasses so it could see the fall leaves, too. 😛 planter with glasses

rainbow to do listAlways looking for fun during the work day, I have a new way to do my to-do lists. Yes, it involves coloring. 😉

Bird adventures in (and on!) the house and car this week… When we were at the laundromat on Sunday, we went out to sit in the car for a few minutes since there were no open seats inside, and a huge crow flew first past the car and then landed on the roof! !!!! …and that bird was HUGE! Then this morning, a woodpecker decided to do some drumming on the house (which is stucco) for a few minutes, and then a beautiful cardinal couple hung out in the bush in front of the window for a while. Hello birds!

The season of amazing color changes. I love how altered the leaves look from one day to the next. Big blazes of red throughout the neighborhood today!

Appreciations Year Three: Day 336

What’s so great about accidentally waking up at 5:38?
1. Feeling that the choice to ding around on facebook for awhile before starting work is perfectly justifiable.
2. Learning that the sun comes up even earlier than you previously thought.
3. Purring cats are more cuddly at this hour.
4. Coffee tastes much better before 6 am.
5. Any actual work completed before 7 am counts double.
6. Planning your 11 am nap. 😉

Blue skies, green leaves, red cardinal in the tree, all the flower colors.

Really nice pens.
