1. I appreciate the pink squishy on my briefcase. Intentional incongruity!
2. I appreciate my wi-fi hotspot which allows me to do some work while in the waiting room (waiting to take my mom home after her cataract surgery)
3. I appreciate having parents whose company I enjoy. I realize how lucky I am in this regard!

Year 1, Day 6: Pumpkin Hour, Song-a-Day challenge, NYT crossword puzzle
1. Cheryl Branz for sending me our late-night, last-night recording of our newly-written (with Jenna Lindbo) Pumpkin Hour from last year’s RMSS. I love it!!
2. Day One of the Song-a-Day challenge with Timmy Riordan and so many other amazing songwriters.
3. New York Times Sunday crossword. Even though it usually takes me a few days to finish it. 🙂
Year 1, Day 5: chiropractor, my neighborhood, water bottle
1. My back is grateful about getting in to see my chiropractor on short notice!
2. I appreciate the variety of colors, sights and sounds I experience on every walk in my neighborhood. Something new every day!
3. I am grateful for my Panda water bottle because it makes me smile every time I look at the panda face. ;^)

Year 1, Day 4: coffee genius, rocks, glasses
1. I am so grateful to the genius minds that figured out that roasting coffee beans and pouring hot water over them would yield the most delicious, invigorating brew… Yum.
2. I appreciate the beautiful things in my office: Georgia O’Keeffe calendar, Muppets poster, paintings & photos by various family members, talismans from traveling friends, rocks of all shapes and colors.
3. I appreciate my glasses – without which I couldn’t read anything!

Year 1, Day 3: purring, GF bread, flexible job
- Grateful for Cimmy and her purr-purr-purring way of waking me up.
- Grateful for Udi gluten-free bread and a quick easy breakfast!
- I appreciate my flexible job which allows me to work from home or at the office depending on how I feel. Today I’m at home — mere footsteps away from a nap if I should need it! 🙂

Year 1, Day 2: RMSS memories, sleep, missing Katie
1. Grateful for RMSS memories floating around me and infusing my day with random happy thoughts (like watching the meteor blaze across the sky while listening to music at Camp Waylay and like Bethel Steele sandwich hugs that left me breathless with laughter and love).
2. I so appreciate my soft bed, freshly laundered sheets (thank you, dear) and the luxury of sleeping 10 hours!!
3. I appreciate loving Katie Korpi so much that despite having spent 12 straight days with her, I already miss her now that she’s back at school! ♥
Year 1, Day 1: friends, leaves, my kids
1.   I am grateful for friends like Ellis, Terri, Timmy, John, and so many others who are working to cultivate gratitude and happiness…and do so enthusiastically and publicly!
2.   I appreciate all the gorgeous green leaves on the trees outside my window, with hints of blue sky peeking through
3.   I appreciate the gift of sharing my Song School experience with my amazing, brilliant daughter — and the gift of spending time with my amazing, fascinating son at HUGE theater, yesterday (okay, that’s 2, but who’s counting??)
