Year 1, Day 109: Kim Pilgrim, treatment space, x-rays

I appreciate:

  1. Kim Pilgrim, who is not only a warm and wonderful person, but who is also an amazing cranio-sacral therapist.
  2. I also appreciate her treatment space – which looks and feels like a meditation center and smells like my Gramma’s sauna. Mmmmm. 🙂
  3. I really appreciate X-rays. Not only are they helpful for figuring stuff out, but I have to say — it is super cool to be able to look at the inside of my foot! 😛

Year 1, Day 107: email cleansing, current jobs, old job

I appreciate:

  1. How awesome if feels to have helped someone overwhelmed by emails to go from 9,000+ emails in the inbox (about 5,000+ unread) to 0! And to have helped them come up with a system that works to keep the inbox clear. Even more exciting than figuring it out for myself. 🙂
  2. My jobs. I have the best jobs! I’m having so much fun with my web consulting work — and am very excited to start offering laughter yoga and positive psychology workshops very soon!!
  3. Hahaha – even my “old” job is fun — I’ll be at B2B/AHC Holiday Event selling my jewelry this Thursday, Dec 6 from 4-8. It’s going to be a really fun event! Stop by if you can! ♥

Year 1, Day 106: inbox cleaning, electricity, darkness and lightness

I appreciate:

  1. Being able to take 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening to clean out my email inbox. Thank you, Terri, for sharing the idea with me. It is supremely satisfying!
  2. Electricity. I do! I don’t think about it a lot, but it is super helpful. Plus, I like having our holiday lights lit up around the windows.
  3. This dark time of the year — and the fact that so many of us choose to put up lights. I love driving around a looking at the huge range of displays, from one window lit up to lights on every conceivable surface and dancing snowmen. Hahaha!

Year 1, Day 105: rain, awards at HUGE, Molly

I appreciate:

  1. Today’s rain. Of course it’d be nicer if it was snow — but we’ll take whatever precipitation we can get!
  2. The Improviser of the Year Awards at HUGE last night. What a ridiculously lovely and amazing group of people! ♥
  3. Thanks to Molly from whom I stole the wording “ridiculously lovely and amazing.” A perfect description of the event – and the community. 🙂

Year 1, Day 104: geeky-weirdness, beautiful fog, amazing people

I appreciate:

  1. My own geeky-weirdness and the random pleasures it affords me. Last night I looked up from my book to see what time it was – 12:12. Yup. That made me so happy. Even better when I a) finished reading the chapter I was on at 12:14 and b) got up to get some water, got back into bed, and turned the light off at 12:16. I like to believe I fell asleep at 12:18. 😛
  2. The beautiful fog all over my neighborhood this morning
  3. Knowing so many amazing writers and thinkers.

Year 1, Day 103: google spreadsheet knowledge, movies, fascinating people, the post office

I appreciate:

  • That I just taught myself to auto-fill all the dates in my google spreadsheet. Yeah, you smarties out there already knew how — but now, so do I!
  • That being sick this week allowed/forced me to stay home and watch movies — like The Avengers. Joss Whedon is my hero! ;^)
  • I appreciate the incredible genius, energy, and enthusiasm of my fellow entrepreneurs….and the fact that I just get to know so many fascinating people!
  • I love flat-rate priority mailing boxes! And I so appreciate the generous people in line at the post office. A lady at the back of the (long) line had to move her car (accidentally parked in loading zone) and other folks in line held her packages and her place in line while she moved it. And when one of the registers malfunctioned & the wait increased, people just smiled at each other – and everyone had something nice to say to the beleaguered PO clerk. 🙂
