Appreciations Year Three: Day 361

Fun evening hanging out with David last night…though I really need to remember not to stay up so late! 😛
Sweet gray, rainy, thundery day. Made for a cozy day to stay in.

Room project #3 complete! Yay! Made progress on room project #2 today, too — I think we’ll be able to finish tomorrow! Then no more projects for awhile. 😉

Listening to my achy head and going to bed early – before 10 pm!

Appreciations Year Three: Day 360

Fun evening with Danny – dinner and ComedySportz All-Star show! ❤

Improvisor field trip to Jim’s Apple Farm today – my first time. Um, wow, that is a lot of candy in one place! Thanks for suggesting it, Bryan! I bought coffee soda…flavor report to follow soon… 😉

Fun Haha Ladies gathering today – what amazing women!

1st coat of color on both room #2 AND room #3…. Getting close to the finish line on this round of home improvement projects!

Joking with the hygienist Hai during my appointment today. I love that dental appointments can be fun. 🙂

Getting to spend a little time with my folks today. Dad is getting a little better every day!

Sweet and funny messages that come at just the right time. ❤

IMG_3278Luna, for moving to sit right on the corner. Twice! And Cina, for both noticing this habit and encouraging Luna to continue the practice.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 355

Sunny and slightly cooler, less humid weather. Gorgeous!

The funny little signals I get that my iron is getting low again…whenever ice starts to seem like a delicious meal, I know it’s time to increase my iron intake. 😛

The feeling of lightness I’m getting as I continue decluttering and downsizing. After my bedroom is painted, I’m only moving things back in that give me joy. How lovely.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 354

Seeing a car painted with pearlescent paint – first it looked teal, but then as it turned the corner, it looked purple! I’d never seen this before. Cool!

Continued progress on room #2, and now we’re almost done with prep work on my room…so much washing and spackling and sanding, oh my!

Another lovely dinner with David, whom I’d not seen in weeks. 🙂

Appreciations Year Three: Day 353

Debb & Tim for bringing Mom to the hospital to visit Dad. Thank you!

Getting to spend a little time with Debb and Tim myself before they headed back home. 🙂

The crazy things that line up from year to year…including things like having to call the gas company to come check out a gas smell on almost the same day (last year it was 8/6). Fascinating!

Starting project #3 – MY bedroom!! Yay!

Appreciations Year Three: Day 352

Katie and Cina for getting up at what-the-hell o-clock this morning to keep my mom and me company during my dad’s surgery. 🙂

That my dad’s surgery went so well! It was shorter than expected, they only had to take out one lobe, the early pathology suggests the cancer hasn’t spread, and Dad looked great afterward. Hooray!

All the love and support we felt from folks calling, texting, posting on FB, visiting, and checking in throughout the day. We are lucky to be surrounded by such generous, loving, and thoughtful people. ❤

That somehow, Katie and Cina and I found the energy to keep working on the next room painting project after we got home today. Well, after a nap, and lunch, and a long break… 😉
