Appreciations 4.19

Stunning, sunny warm-but-not-hot weather. Mmmmmmm. πŸ˜€

Fun work session with Alison and Amy. I love mixing friend time with good productive work time!!

Late lunch catching up with Alison. It had been way too long!

Walking through a forest of sunflowers β€” 6 or 7 feet high on either side of the sidewalk. Magic!

Appreciations 4.18 – Sights – Sounds – Stuff

Animal sightings in the yard this morning! Hummingbird and baby bunny. πŸ™‚

Listening to the buzz and hum of all the insects while taking a break from yard work this morning.

Mowing the lawn for the first time since my heart got hurt a couple years ago. Phew! I needed a longish rest afterward, but considering I’d done a half hour of weeding first, I still call that a win.

Another sweet Ruby night. I love spending one on one time with her. And I love the bonus of a little time with Terri after that! ❀

Appreciations 4.17 – Sounds

Waking up to thunder. Even if it interrupts my sleep, there’s something fun about waking up to interesting weather. πŸ™‚

Luna’s sweet little mews – she almost sounds like a bird.

Luna’s amazingly loud purr. I love that I can hear her from across the room.

Appreciations 4.15 – present, past, future

More good work on the “stuff-I’ve-been-putting-off” front. Each little step makes me feel sooooo much lighter.

Walking around the U of M campus with the kids. Well, not too much walking. It was so hot! But enough to remember what it was like and how much I liked the first few days of classes. So many possibilities!

Movie night with Terri and Ruby. The 5 year-old perspective adds a beautiful new element to movies! ❀

Appreciations 4.14 – Connections

Days like today that are filled with brilliant moments of connection, love, and good timing! How fun to see Colleen at the credit union. That is always a fun errand (I really, really like all the folks who work there!), but getting to see and reconnect with Colleen made it sparkle with love. ❀

Ohhh, snuggling down for sleep with a lovey, cuddly 5 year-old. I didn’t actually fall asleep, but it sure was sweet snuggle time with Ruby!

And then a wonderful conversation with Terri (even though it was past both our bedtimes!) πŸ˜‰

Finishing off that sweet, sweet day by chatting with the folks out on the stoop who were enjoying the slightly cooler weather. What fun to see Leigh and meet some new lovely people. So many good, satisfying connections in one little day! ❀ ❀ ❀

Sept flowersGood work day with little breaks for fun things like a visit with my dad.

Weather just slightly cooler and breezy enough to make for a lovely little walk during which I got to see this beautiful explosion of flowers.

Getting through a huge task I’d been putting off for months. Wheeee.

Appreciations 4.12

How great a decent night of sleep feels when compared to the alternative. Mmmm.

Annie’s fruit snacks. They are a delicious treat whose Vit C helps with iron absorption (and they make a good chaser to my liquid iron which tastes like, um, grape juice + metal…) πŸ˜‰

The weirdness of being fuzzy-brained. Walking around all day feeling as if I’m forgetting something. I wonder what it is. Hahaha!

Especially this: “The combination of letters -ough can be pronounced in 9 different ways (hold onto your hats USA)! The following sentence contains them all: β€œThe rough-coated, dough-faced, thoughtful ploughman strode through the streets of Scarborough; after falling into a plough, he coughed and hiccoughed.”

Sharing and shared things. πŸ™‚

Two more huge piles of paper for the recycling bin. How freeing to say goodbye to decades of stuff that’s not needed anymore! (And how convenient to be able to record pertinent info in a Google spreadsheet, thereby removing the need to keep the paper.)

Google sheets. πŸ˜›

baby bunnyCuuuuuuuuute little baby bunny hopping around our yard (really little – maybe 3-4 inches long!). Good little bunny stayed perfectly still when we got near, so I was able to take a photo. When we went back in the house, he was hopping around the yard again. I love having a bunny nest right in our front yard. I mean in our inner-city nature preserve. πŸ˜‰

Perfectly beautiful weather for walkses. I love it!

Oh, I almost forgot – the truly gorgeous orange moon last night and stunning sunset this evening!
