Today’s To-dos. I like colorful things!
Finally getting my “Action” folder down under 20 items! It’s been at 30-40 for weeks and it’s been driving me crazy. So happy I finally had both the time and energy (at the same time!) to start whittling it back down. Phew!
The fun stories I hear when I ask people (like my bank teller or store clerks) if they have a fun weekend planned. It’s so enjoyable to get a little glimpse into people’s lives — and to see them enjoying that someone is interested. How easy it is to make little tasks like errands enjoyable. 🙂

Having so much fun with Pamela while she received her Elixir of Radiant Health at The Spa. Oh how we laughed and joked with the wonderful staff there. And we had such nice walkies – the three of us abreast – me, Pam, and Pam’s PatientPal (yes, that’s what the wheely-pole thingy that holds the bags of elixir is called!!) with Pam’s beautifully choreographed spins when we turned around at the end of the hall. What else? More enlightening, illuminating, inspiring conversation; watching the leaves dance upwards off the trees; and yes, of course, even singing. 😉 It was fun to meet more members of the Pam Fan Club, like Amy and Nancy and all the other folks there who remembered Pam and were clearly so enchanted by my darling friend. We all love Pam’s energy, intentionality, charm, and wit. ❤ Oooooh, and the valet parking! That is pretty nifty, I tell ya. A girl could get used to that kind of thing! What a precious afternoon. 🙂
Having just enough energy left over to cook when I got home – I made parsley potatoes with fresh parsley! For a gal who has barely cooked at all in the past 7 or 8 years, this is a big deal. Looks like this old dog CAN learn new tricks. 😀

More fun singing today at the altos sectional. What a treat to sing with Pam, Margaret and Paula. And now I’m an honorary alto! And wowsers, we are doing some really delightful songs this year!! Nonsense songs in other languages – so silly and fun to sing!

Ooooohhhh what fun to sing with the Earthtones again! As of tonight I get to sing low alto with my Pammy on three songs… AND now I get to sing with my soprano friends on a couple, too. What delicious fun moving all over from section to section singing with wonderful friends and stretching my range. 😀

Annual rock candy making date with my mom. I have to remember not to wear black, though… It makes too tempting a palette for the powdered sugar. 😛

The brilliant vine growing all along the back fence. So pretty to look out and see those vibrant colors! Getting some serious pruning and weeding done in the backyard. Still a long ways to go, but we made a good start! And we had perfect weather for some yard work. Thanks, Mckenzie!

The first sip of coffee in the morning. It is always a welcome thing, but some mornings it is simply exquisite. Today was one such day. 🙂
The quality of light at this time of year. Driving around the lakes the sky went from dull gray to vivid blue with golden streaks of sunshine lighting up the trees. During the hour or so I was out doing errands, it shifted back and forth several times. What fun to watch the light alter the landscape like that!
Super fun evening catching up with David and watching Spy. I love watching Melissa McCarthy do her thing!
