Appreciations Year Three: Days 136 & 137 (the Tiny Funny Women Fest edition)

Day 136

Working with Lauren Anderson. Every time I work with her I am blown away by her insightful, holistic, beautiful approach to improv and to life. I come away feeling so inspired — about both things!

TFWF 2015The new form Lauren is sharing with us. It is so freaking awesome. I cannot WAIT to try it out with the lovely ladies in this ensemble!

The new approach to the Tiny Funny Women Festival. I love love love getting to spend 6 hours working with one coach and the same group of women and the connection and trust that come with that continuity. Love it!

Day 137
The Smarty McSmartypants who had the idea to include a workshop about stand-up comedy in the loving, safe milieu of TFWF. Thank you!!

All the other amazingly brave and funny women who did the stand-up workshop and showcase with me. I know that improv seems scary to a lot of people — but for us improvisers, writing something down beforehand and then performing THAT felt pretty damn scary. Yay, us! We did it! 😉

All the other amazingly brave and funny women at TFWF – the coaches, the volunteers who put so much energy into making this run smoothly, everyone who made TFWF 2015 so great. This rich and beautifully intense weekend is one of my favorite weekends of the whole year!

Tamara, for thinking to ask about food sensitivities which meant I got pizza and didn’t have to go find my own dinner! Yum! 🙂

The lovely people who came to see the shows and support us. What a fabulous community this is!

Year 1, Day 21: Huge Theater, Uniquely Attainable, rose quartz

I appreciate:

  1. Huge Improv’s awesome Splendid Things on Saturday, what will surely be an amazing Show X tonight and 401 class starting Tuesday. Can’t wait!
  2. Uniquely Attainable which happened to be parked in my neighborhood yesterday. Scored a great find for Katie’s birthday in just a couple minutes. Coolest shopping ever!
  3. Rose quartz in all forms, but especially the chunks lying around my house – including the candle holder. What a nice energy that stone has! 🙂
