Coffee coffee coffee coffee coffee. Some days I appreciate it more than others. πŸ˜‰

Somehow getting through 7 errands after work – that’s a LOT of stuff to cross off my to-do list. Yay!

The fun of making every errand fun. It’s amazing how just being curious about how a cashier’s day is going can spark a nifty little grin- or giggle- inspiring conversation. Random smiles at fellow shoppers and standers-in-line work pretty well, too. Sure makes doing errands more fun!

A day with plenty of energy. Yay! Enough to get some really good work work done, and some really good rehearsal prep work, and then to get through another excellent rehearsal! After yesterday (I crashed on the couch for the entire evening after rehearsal and yard work ), I was feeling a little discouraged…but then today, I had all the energy I needed. Even got the kitchen cleaned up. Hooray!

Singing. Oh, what fun it is when we get to this part of the season when most of us know most of our parts on most of the songs. πŸ˜› Peggy is so patient and wonderful. I am so happy to be singing with these fine ladies again. ❀

snail card 300x300More drawing fun. I like how pleased I am with myself…like a little kid. πŸ˜‰ I made a get well card with a snail on it for Pam who likes snails. It was so much fun to do!

colorful vines 10-10-15The brilliant vine growing all along the back fence. So pretty to look out and see those vibrant colors! Getting some serious pruning and weeding done in the backyard. Still a long ways to go, but we made a good start! And we had perfect weather for some yard work. Thanks, Mckenzie!

Fun lunch with my sibs! πŸ˜€ I am still trying to understand how I am able to drive 15 minutes and see Jeff & Laura. What?!? πŸ˜› Thanks for the fun afternoon, Laura!

Evening of couch time to rest up from my day of activity. πŸ˜‰

My completely awesome job. I get to do work I love with people I love. So lucky!

Getting to see and talk with John today! How great are video chats? So great! πŸ™‚

fall flowers and leavesFinding time for a walk today. Ohhhhhhhh that sunshine. I love the late afternoon quietness of the city after kids get out from school and before folks are getting home from work. Bliss.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 346

Comma butterfly aug 1 2015All the butterflies who’ve been visiting me lately. This pretty little comma butterfly stayed perfectly still, though the branch was waving wildly in the wind, long enough for me to get a non-blurry photo. Thanks, little friend.

Room complete 1 July 2015 Room complete 2 July 2015 Room complete 3 July 2015

Finishing the room! Almost every aspect of this project took more time and ingenuity than one might guess. But don’t we feel satisfied now?! πŸ˜‰ One down, four to go.

Mckenzie for washing the car while I packed this morning. What a treat!

When things that might have been a catastrophe turn out not to be. Though I am very, very sad to miss spending time with Sarah and Ida and their family at their cabin, I am also incredibly grateful that I – and the other woman who ran over the same big, sharp, unavoidable whatever-it-was on the freeway – only got flat tires (well, tire AND busted wheel in my case) and that we made it to the side of the road safely.

I am also grateful that it happened close enough to the cities to be within my AAA radius instead of out in the middle of nowhere, and that the AAA guy was really nice – even changed the tire for the other woman, too, though she’s not a member. It was comforting to have another person there to chat with about the incident while we waited for help. I also appreciate all the little back roads I found to get me back home without having to stress my little compact spare tire at high speeds. And boy-oh-boy did I appreciate getting back home and being done with driving for today!

Appreciations Year Three: Day 276

French lilacs may 2015 The intoxicating smell and beautifully dainty shape of French lilacs. Amazing.

Comfortable, easy visits with David that help me remember not to take things so seriously. πŸ˜‰

The strange and surreal quality of my day… Waking up at 11:40, did a few errands and some work, fell back to sleep around 4 (I mean asleep asleep). I love having enough energy to do my stuff these past couple weeks, but holy moly weekends sure seem to be about rest and rejuvenation. So much sleeping!

more orbeez fairy orbeezOrbeez gift from Leah to the fairies. We love these little surprises and getting to play fairy with her. ❀

Tab for a cause – what an easy way to generate donations for good causes – especially since when I’m working, I often have 10 or more tabs open.Β  They are donating to Save the Children to help with the fallout from the Earthquake in Nepal right now.Β  You can help, too! Pretty flowers, pretty bunnies.

Sunny weather. I love the contrast of the slightly cool feel when I’m in the shade and the brilliant warmth when I step into the sunlight.

Stepping into sunlight – literally and metaphorically.

David, whose rabbitat is even better than mine – with 4 cavorting rabbits last night.Β  And who is such a great friend, providing comic relief — and actual relief when needed. πŸ˜‰

Clothes pins, lint rollers, paper clips (especially brightly colored ones!), brand-new notebooks, comfortable shoes, pixies, sprites, and spirits, bananas.
