Year 2, Day 309: early morning sounds, clematis, time with Sara

I appreciate:

  • The sweet sounds and sights of an early morning walk (I’m not usually even awake at that time!). So many birds chattering, so many gorgeous flowers blooming.
  • Our clematis, which I wasn’t sure would come back this year. Good job, plant!
  • Meeting with Sara today! I love spending time with the talented, amazing, hilarious people in my life. #gratefulgirl

Year 2, Day 308: Ellis time, ending work early, student showcases, gag gift

I appreciate:

  • Getting to spend a little time with Ellis this morning! What a Delaneyful time I’ve had lately. 🙂 I love it!
  • Getting done with work before 8:30 pm. Ha – I guess it’s all about perspective, right?
  • Seeing Katie’s (and all the other wonderful students’) showcases tonight. Really great job, y’all!
  • The 402 class gift to Michael Ritchie! OMG, you people. I laughed and laughed and laughed!

Year 2, Day 304: Coffee with Terri, new book, improv friends

  • Coffee time with Terri this morning! I am so excited! It has been months and months and months since we’ve scheduled something like this. Feels like an incredible treat!
  • Starting a new book by a beloved author. How is it that I’d never read Northanger Abbey before??
  • Amy and Pat and the myriad of amazing friends I’ve made through improv. Our little round of FB silliness this morning made for such a fun start to my day!

Year 2, Day 302: closet treasures, friend time, Teddy weirdness

  • The treasures I found when I cleaned out my closet today, including a missing sock, and the music box my dad brought to my mom at the hospital when I was born, and one of the bells that decorated the little Christmas tree he brought for her.
  • Spending time with Sarah. What a fun night seeing The School For Girls Music and Highly Theatrical Comedy Revue. Oh, what a really lovely evening!
  • The weirdness of Teddy, who is sitting here talking in really goofy old timer-y Minnesota accent and just said to me, “Well, you know life….it just throws some curve balls at you.”
