- Sunny days, tulips, and iPhones, oh my!
- Toby, the hunter cat (who hunts and eats centipedes!!). My scruffy, goofball little hero.
- Changes, movement, upheaval all setting me on edge, but also, somehow, helping me find my center. Isn’t this life interesting?
Appreciations Year 2
Year 2, Day 272: chamomile tea, bird songs, pouring rain
- Chamomile tea,
- birds singing at 4 in the morning,
- and rain pouring down like someone turned on the faucet in the sky.
- Oh, and breaks in the rain long enough for me to run in to my meeting without getting soaked.
Year 2, Day 271: magical manifestations, openhearted offerings, perennial plants
I appreciate:
- Magical manifestations.
- Openhearted offerings.
- Perennial plants. (And alphabetical alliteration)
Year 2, Day 270: good food, random words of kindness, sunshine
- Good food, good company, and a lemonade drink called “Puff the Magic Dragon” – what a fun evening!
- Random words of kindness. Wow, I gotta remember how powerful they are. I got 2 separate doses this morning and am feeling so loved and wonderful. Hmmmm. Might be time to start a new project…
- Sunshine to start the weekend. Oh, how I love the green leafy buds shimmering in the light!
Year 2, Day 269: BeezKneez, books, mugs
- BeezKneez local honey for helping reduce my allergies and for being just plain delicious!
- Books.
- Mugs I’ve gotten when traveling. How nice to drink my coffee and remember wonderful trips I’ve taken!
Year 2, Day 268: bright moon, quiet streets, cozy blankets
I appreciate:
- The bright moon behind the clouds as I drove home from class last night. So pretty.
- How quiet the streets seem at midnight on a week night.
- Cozy blankets to keep me warm on a cold winter’s, er, spring’s night.
Year 2, Day 267: new flowers, little yellow finch, crazy cats
I appreciate:
- Seeing new flowers every day on my walks.

- The little yellow finch (I think that’s what it was) that flew and hopped along with us on our way home this morning.
- Cats going crazy watching all the birds.
Year 2, Day 266: my funny bone, books, mountains
- My funny bone, which is so easily tickled.
- The juxtaposition of the last two books given to me, both of which I love.

- Mountains – seeing ’em, climbing ’em, moving ’em.
Year 2, Day 265: walks in the rain, fresh green smell, supportive people
I appreciate:
- Walking in the rain.
- The fresh green smell, the sound of birds singing and rain on the budding leaves, the green newness everywhere.
- The amazingly supportive people in my life.
Day 264: mom, shoes, improv joy
- My mom. She is the best mama a girl could hope for. I am unbelievably lucky.
- The shoes of glory!
- The joy of discovery in improv (see previous appreciation).
- Playing in Happily Ever After at IAGG tonight with Sarah! It is going to be SO MUCH FUN!! (Yes, the all-in-caps AND double exclamation point kind of fun!)
