I appreciate:

• So much fun rolled up into one day! The fabulous double celebration with dear friends today — re-celebrating Katie’s birthday with them AND attending their impromptu wedding. Beautiful. And now they’re even more marrieder!
• The HUGE Theater Improvathon planning meeting today. How l love the people in this community. 28 hours of improv (and fundraising, just to be clear) coming soon!
• Rehearsing (and celebrating Kathleen’s birthday with) my amazing Cursed! cast-mates tonight. Oh my, how you ladies make me laugh.

I appreciate:

• 22 years with the most wonderful daughter a mom could want!
• Getting to spend time with my mom today. Even if she did play a 122-point word and kick my butt in Scrabble.
• Coffee and Dayquil!

I appreciate:

• Celebrating Katie’s birthday with the family at breakfast. Good ol’ Zumbo Cafe.
• Reuniting with my Comedy Sportz classmates. What fun!
• Taking my tired, cold-infested self to bed at 9 pm. Zzzzzzzz.

I appreciate:

• Doing Tai Chi while watching the rain through the big picture windows. Lovely.
• So much improv goodness with my groups today!
• Patricia C Wrede. What wonderful books she writes! I especially appreciate this quote. What a lovely comment on life:

“This is the most important lesson you must learn about magic…There are many ways of seeing. Each has an element of truth, but none is the whole truth. If you limit yourselves to one way of seeing, one truth, you will limit your power. You will also place limits on the kinds of spells you can cast, as well as their strength. To be a good magician, you must see in many ways. You must be flexible. You must be willing to learn from different sources. And you must always remember that the truths you see are incomplete.

I appreciate:

• Learning that Jerilyn has earrings that I made (she got them before I even knew her!). What a fun coincidence!
• The budding friendship between my puppet kitten and Carolyn’s kitty purse.
• The way things always seem to work out if I stop fussing.

I appreciate:

• Lacy fall shadows on the street and sidewalk.
• My curious and silly kitty.
• The little girl on her bike who beamed an awesome, quirky smile at us as we drove by this evening.

I appreciate:

• This watering can!
• This lemonade stand! By now, my neighbors are used to me stopping in front of their houses, taking pictures of random things.
• DuoLingo, the seriously addicting language app. It works pretty well for refreshing a language you know (or knew), so I’m brushing up on French. It remains to be seen how well I “learn” Spanish from this thing – though it is super helpful to now be able to tell you this: Las mujeres comen huevos. Just thought you’d like to know.

I appreciate:

• Leslie and her random moments — and for being so much fun to work with. 😉
• Timmy for posting a 3-second cat video that made me giggle and giggle — and for being an all-around beautiful person. ❤️
• Jill for her spectacular Nancy Reagan impression last night — and for her beautifully-worded, gentle wisdom. Check out her response to the last question in this month’s HUGE newsletter.

I appreciate:

• Having access to so many lovely foods, like… Raspberries. What an amazing treat.
• Yummy gluten-free pop-tarts. I mean, sometimes you just want a pop-tart, right?
• The basil mayo at Longfellows. Um, what a good idea.

• The FABULOUS irony of me forgetting to post my gratitudes on Gratitude Day! Hahahaha!
• The super-fantastically amazing women of Cursed! Thank you, Sarah, Alison, Amy, and Kathleen for an unbelievably fun rehearsal today. Our October shows are going to be fantastic — and fantastical.
