Year 2 Day 169: good news, ponytail holders, HUGE 501

I appreciate:

  • Good news from Patrick’s oncologist! Nodes are not only no bigger – but some seem to have gotten smaller. Pat gets to extend time between CT scans to 4 months now. Woohoo! Way to heal, honey!
  • Ponytail holders. What? A ponytail is TOO a valid for someone my age.
  • My HUGE 501 classmates. They liven my life right up

Year 2 Day 168: new planner, Terri, all y’all

I appreciate:

  • Finally getting my new custom planner (designed by me!) bound! Maybe now I’ll get stuff done.
  • Terri, for forging the way by creating her own planners these past few years and making me believe it was possible.
  • All y’all for understanding that my weird geekiness is actually really CHARMING and not at all worrisome…

Year 2 Day 164: impromptu visits, clean socks, Joyce

I appreciate:

  • The impromptus visits from my dad lately. What a nice little break in the work day! (Mom (Carol), tell dad not to worry — I bought some Earl Grey decaf so I’ll be prepared next time!)
  • Clean socks.
  • Joyce, at Target. She is such a bright light and has such sweet energy. She makes a routine errand so much more fun.

Year 2 Day 163: toaster tongs, word games, yawns

I appreciate:

  • Toaster tongs. What a clever idea.
  • Online Scrabble, Bitwordy, WWF. So nice to geek out with my wordy friends and watch the snow coming down. Cozy. (And yes, I do have great sympathy for everyone who has to drive in it this morning. I am sending you cozy vibes, even though you might not feel ’em.)
  • Huge, stretchy yawns. Wow that feels good.
