- The joy of an insightful and goosebumply, hilarious and hahaha-y conversation with dear Pam yesterday. Perfect rainy-day porch time fun!
- Appreciation buddies. How wonderful to have a community of people doing this amazing, joyful, sometimes challenging, always beneficial practice!
- Sunday morning choices: work? garden? coffee shop? bake? What a magnificent myriad of options.
Appreciations Year 2
Year 2, Day 312: shiny car surprise, reliable help, laptop and internet
I appreciate:
- The surprise of a shiny, clean car – inside and out. Thanks, Katie and Mckenzie!
- Working with people who are so reliable — even when I’m having a flaky week! Thanks, Sara & Timmy!!
- My laptop and the internet. They make my work easy, entertainment accessible, and keep me connected with people across vast distances. What a lovely thing!
Year 2, Day 311: good night’s sleep, contrast, water bottle dream
- A good night’s sleep and waking up feeling like myself (as opposed to the stressball I was yesterday!!).
- Hahaha – the contrast of yesterday’s anxiety-filled day making me realize how great “normal” feels.
- OMG the piece of the dream I just remembered in which I was in some kind of race that went through the basements of a bunch of buildings in the city — and in which about 10 people had water bottles like mine, making it hard for me to figure out which one was mine. So funny!
Year 2, Day 310: flexible job, tidy yard, mulched gardens
I appreciate:
- Having a job that is flexible enough to allow me to help out my family in a crunch.
- How much better the yard looks after just an hour with all of us working on it.
- Getting mulch down on the front gardens, at last. (See we got to it before it snowed….)
Year 2, Day 309: early morning sounds, clematis, time with Sara
I appreciate:
- The sweet sounds and sights of an early morning walk (I’m not usually even awake at that time!). So many birds chattering, so many gorgeous flowers blooming.
- Our clematis, which I wasn’t sure would come back this year. Good job, plant!

- Meeting with Sara today! I love spending time with the talented, amazing, hilarious people in my life. #gratefulgirl
Year 2, Day 308: Ellis time, ending work early, student showcases, gag gift
I appreciate:
- Getting to spend a little time with Ellis this morning! What a Delaneyful time I’ve had lately. 🙂 I love it!
- Getting done with work before 8:30 pm. Ha – I guess it’s all about perspective, right?
- Seeing Katie’s (and all the other wonderful students’) showcases tonight. Really great job, y’all!
- The 402 class gift to Michael Ritchie! OMG, you people. I laughed and laughed and laughed!
Year 2, Day 307: fun show, Ruby time, convenient mailers
- Such a fun show with my friends last night! Thanks, Danny, Michael, & Nick. That was a blast!
- Getting to spend some time with Ruby this morning. What a wonderful way to start the week!
- Flat rate priority mail bubble mailers. They make parts of my life so easy!
Year 2, Day 306: peaceful solstice, swimming pool, flower photo
- A quiet, clean house. Peaceful way to spend solstice.
- Getting to play with Danny, Nick, and Michael one last time! C’mon out to see Swimming Pool and the other amazing groups tonight!
- Finding the photo of this cool-looking flower I saw the other day.

Year 2, Day 305: conversations and games, frames, art arrangements
- Fun conversations, games, and hanging out with friends last night!
- Finally getting a frame for the O’Keeffe print Katie gave me in December….

- New arrangements of art on the walls!
Year 2, Day 304: Coffee with Terri, new book, improv friends
- Coffee time with Terri this morning! I am so excited! It has been months and months and months since we’ve scheduled something like this. Feels like an incredible treat!
- Starting a new book by a beloved author. How is it that I’d never read Northanger Abbey before??
- Amy and Pat and the myriad of amazing friends I’ve made through improv. Our little round of FB silliness this morning made for such a fun start to my day!
