Year 1, Day 74: great entertainment galore, muppets, malachite

I appreciate:

  1. Looking forward to amazing shows like Bump in the Night and Ghost Force tonight and Justin K Roth and Danielle Ate the Sandwich at the Aster Cafe tomorrow night.
  2. The Muppets poster in my office, though Gonzo will never look quite the same to me, thanks to last night’s Comedy Sportz Improv Class 3 rehearsal and Karen Baker. Neither will clowns, for that matter…
  3. The malachite pyramid on my desk. Malachite is cool!

Year 1, Day 73: numbers, comedy, distractions, time for work

Today I appreciate:

  • That Day 73 represents 1/5 of my year of FB gratitude posts. Numbers are fun. 😛
  • The upcoming Improv-a-thon HUGE Theater (Nov 15) and all the fun and excitement leading up to it!
  • My upcoming showcase Comedy Sportz Showcase (Nov 10) [I’ll try to get to inviting people today…] and all the fun and excitement leading up to that!
  • The myriad pleasant distractions my life affords me.
  • Having a little time to get back to work today. Almost like a “regular” day!

Year 1, Day 70: healthy parents, helpful staff, winter wrestling

I am so grateful for:

  1. My parents’ good health. I enjoy them so much!
  2. The Alzheimer’s Association — especially their 24/7 helpline (1-800-272-3900), whose understanding, well-informed, caring staff are a true gift.
  3. The sudden memory (stirred up by a crossword clue) of Ivan Raconteur and Brian watching pro wrestling, then deciding it looked fun and taking their own version of a match outside…in the middle of the winter. Hahahaha! What a vision. 🙂

Year 1, Day 69: comedy sportz, classmates, kindness

Today I appreciate:

  1. My Comedy Sportz Improv Class 3 for a terrifically fun class yesterday.
  2. My Comedy Sportz Improv Class 3 classmates, who are incredibly funny, talented, and sweet.
  3. Noticing how small acts of kindness can have a huge impact. Don’t underestimate the power of a well-timed smile, text-message or email. 🙂

Year 1, Day 66: festivals, cool stuff, almost-cheese-like-substance

I appreciate:

  1. Living in a city that has a Fringe Festival, an Improv Festival AND the Twin Cities Horror Festival! Thank you, Minneapolis.
  2. Looking forward to seeing Bump in the Night and Ghost Force. Thank you, Erin Sheppard, for doing cool stuff – and letting me know about it!
  3. Daiya dairy-free, soy-free cheese. I know you’re not real cheese, but you are a pretty nice imitation. 😛
