Appreciations 4.98: Thanksgiving…Business as usual!

Quiet morning sitting on the couch, watching the beautiful snow.

Busy afternoon cooking today’s meal with Mckenzie and Katie.

Lovely dinner with the kids and relaxing fun evening with our little motley crew, all of whom I love and appreciate so much. ❀

The funny feeling that I should somehow write something profound for a Thanksgiving Day gratitude post… which I then ignore in favor of going to bed early – forgetting even to post it on the big day! Hahaha. πŸ˜‰

Reconnecting with the ever energetic, smart, funny, engaging Jerilyn. What a fun conversation we had yesterday! What a joy to reconnect with her! πŸ™‚

Looking forward to spending time with Pam today as she receives the Elixir of Radiant Life. Spending time with Pam always makes me feel happier, wiser, centered. How lucky am I to know her! ❀

Tazo Calm Chamomile tea. It is so comforting and soothing when my tummy is unsettled.

The comfort of hot tea.

The comfort of pillows, blankets, kitties, napping.

Just enough energy to get the most needed work done for clients before all the napping. πŸ™‚

I so appreciate all the time my dad & brother took installing the new storm door. They are so generous with their time, energy, and expertise!

Meeting clients at my favorite coffee shop. There are so so so many reasons I love my work!

Exciting rehearsal with the Earthtones – just one more rehearsal before our December shows start.Β  πŸ™‚

Appreciations 4.94: Breathtaking Beauty

Luxurious and unstructured morning for drawing and listening to my audio book. So nice to have some down time during which rest wasn’t required. πŸ˜›

An exciting afternoon of writing. I started out just tweaking a few worksheets I’ve developed to use with clients the past year or so and found myself writing, um, the introduction and first chapter of my book. Apparently. πŸ˜€

Simply stunning Nordic Contemplative service. I’m generally not much of a churchgoer, but the music and the prayers were perfect in every way. The stunning sounds from the Norwegian Hardanger fiddle filled me with awe – how could so many wonderful sounds be coming from ONE instrument? Then Peggy‘s unbelievably beautiful kulokks and improvised songs sent chills all over me and filled me up with the most wonderful peace. It was all I could do not to sit there weeping. I told her it’s a good thing I don’t live with her because I would ask her to sing all day every day! πŸ˜‰

And then the joy, oh the joy, of singing with my beloved Earthtones again. What an utterly blissful experience. I know a LOT of words…and yet, am at a loss to describe the breathtaking beauty of the evening. πŸ™‚

My life is filled with the most wonderful people. It is a fairly constant source of amazement to me. Today I had such an inspiring and thought-provoking talk with Timmy. I love our talks!

Later I had a couple errands and a device check appointment at the heart clinic, and everyone I encountered was funny and/or sweet and/or just plain lovely to interact with. I love that my experiences are populated by such bright, charming people!

Ending the day with a delicious dinner and watching the Wizard of Oz with Ellis and Ruby and Katie and Cina was pretty much as good as it can get.Β β™₯Β  I will tell you, it is SUPER fun to watch the Wizard of Oz again with a 5-year old. πŸ˜€

Today was a day filled with good things to appreciate.

First of all I woke up after a night of much, much more better sleep than I’d been having lately. Still a little short on the hours, but SO much more better quality. Hooray!

Next I had a really satisfying, fun, fascinating meeting with the ever-squooshable John Linn. I have the best job! Srsly.

Then, after getting some of my own work done, I got to meet with a sweet 13-year old girl beginning jewelry designer who “shopped” at my bead “store.” It was so much fun to watch her exclaim over the beads I so lovingly selected during my years as a designer, and watching her pick out her favorites. She was so excited to be able to pick out real crystals and pearls. πŸ˜€ Her mom was super sweet, too, and it was such a lovely, wonderful way to send some of my beads on their way!

This evening I caught up on planning things with friends, and now I get to look forward to coffee shop meetings, a trip to MIA, and other future fun stuff. Pretty awesome day. ❀

Coffee coffee coffee coffee coffee. Some days I appreciate it more than others. πŸ˜‰

Somehow getting through 7 errands after work – that’s a LOT of stuff to cross off my to-do list. Yay!

The fun of making every errand fun. It’s amazing how just being curious about how a cashier’s day is going can spark a nifty little grin- or giggle- inspiring conversation. Random smiles at fellow shoppers and standers-in-line work pretty well, too. Sure makes doing errands more fun!
