I appreciate:

• Katie and all the other brave 101 improvisers for having the courage to get up there and do it. What a great show!
• My dad, for helping us with our internet connectivity problem. (Uh, plug in the hub…)
• Ruby for all her wonderfulness, including saying things like, “My feet are stuck to me. My feet are made of me.”

I appreciate:

• Your tolerance of my frequent after-the-fact posting of appreciations.
• The thrill of learning that someone unexpected reads these posts — and that my little gratitude practice has a positive effect on others. Fun!
• Bubbles. I WILL learn to blow the bubble within the bubble. Curse you, Dan Linden, for making it look so easy, though!

I appreciate:

• Our weigela. We thought it might have died, but here it is!
• LunaKitty, acting like a kitten, chasing her crinkly toy all over the house. Silly girl!
• The yummy food and gluten-free options at French Meadow Bakery & Café!

I appreciate:

• That I can spend the entire day at a family reunion and encounter only interesting, funny, lovely people!
• Getting to meet some of my cousins (I have 25) for the first time ever.
• Catching up with my cousins – some for the first time in more than 10 years.
• My Dad, for coming up with the idea for the reunion, all the people who travelled so far to be there, and everyone who pitched in to make it a memorable day!

I appreciate:

• The workers who worked through the night to restore power.  Ours came back on after 6 this morning.
• That those trees didn’t hit either house.  So glad the wind came from the west!
• Today’s family reunion.  I’ll meet cousins I’ve never met and see people I haven’t seen in 10 or 20 years.  Should be fun!

I appreciate:

• That none of our neighbors were hurt by the downed trees.
• The chance to connect with our neighbors as we all came out to see what the storm wrought.
• How cool the city looks (so dark!) without lights.
• Um, electricity! We take it for granted and it is very noticeable to be without it!
• The fact that we bought a bunch of candles a few weeks ago!

I appreciate:

• Working with such lovely health care providers that even a day like yesterday, in which all I did was go to dr. appts, can be a wonderful day.
• Appreciations! It’s so cool to have this tool that helps me remember tiny, beautiful details of my life, like laughing with my kids in that “this is particularly funny just to US” way at a show.
• Coffee. I know, I know, I always appreciate coffee. Don’t you??

I appreciate:

• Hanging out with improv friends. I feel so lucky be part of this community of brilliant, interesting, open people.
• Circumstances lining up perfectly for a perfect day. Thank you for the lovely breakfast, Burcin Ozel!!
• Friends who greet me with hugs and kisses. I love that kind of openness!

I appreciate:

• Baby bunnies in the yard. Really tiny bunnies! (Lots of wild life in the yard without our watch dog and watch kitty….)
• Seeing a wild turkey as I got off the freeway yesterday. The wilds of Minneapolis!
• The cast of Show X for their commitment to character, incredibly quick thinking, and ability to create a lovely, absurd stories out of thin air. So inspiring!

I appreciate:

• Day 300. What a pleasing thing.
• My Dad. He’s awesome.
• My kids’ dad Patrick Boyle). He’s also awesome!
