Day 183. More literary fun – this time with Terry Pratchett’s Tiffany Aching books. “Oh waily, waily, waily!” So much goodness wrapped in silliness and fun.
Sharp pencils and big erasers.
Rain! Then sunshine! What a day. π

Wodehouse’s use of language makes me giggle. This (of a man being hit by a car – don’t worry he doesn’t get hurt): “He received the automobile in the small of the back.” How did he think to use the word receive?!? It’s just so delicious.
Working in my tidier, more organized office. I love the feeling of things being more settled.
Another fun visit with Jeff this afternoon!
Oh, what gorgeous sunshine this morning. How wonderful to sit at my desk and look out at the pale blue skies and enjoy the kinda-looks-like-spring-kinda-feels-like-winter weather. π
Hyphens.
Tom’s helpful explanations about partitions and volumes on my external hard drive…which now once again has a fully bootable backup of my laptop. Yay!!
I love this surprisingly productive version of me who’s been showing up the past couple days. She somehow managed today to sort and file ALL the papers. And I really mean ALL of them. Want to know where birth certificates are? How about LLC Articles of Organization? Furnace installation paperwork? Car repair records? Yup. I can find ’em. After months and months of untangling and merging files (turns out one of the hardest things about divorce is the paperwork…) :P, I now know where everything is! Not only that, this fascinating creature also made all the calls that had been put off AND got regular work done. Who IS this person?! π
I love the kitties who purred and pounced and played with me while all this was going on. π
I also loved listening to the birds singing this morning. How spring-y sounding!
Got a humongous number of pesky taskies done! A satisfying and surprising day that way since I woke up headach-y and tired. Instead of plowing ahead like I’d usually do, I spent an extra hour or so resting after breakfast…and somehow ended up with enough juice to get more done than I do on most days. Hmmmm. Good lesson!
More fairy fun – responding to another note from our little neighbor. π
Late dinner (soup – batch #4. I believe I’ve got the hang of this now!) and early bedtime next. A very satisfying day!

Waking up this morning to find this funny valentine from Katie on my door! π
Super fun brunch with Laura this morning. What a great start to the day!
A good, deep resting day.
Just finished Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore and The Wee Free Men. What fun stories!! Thank you for the perfect book recommendations, Sarah!
Had a super fun hang-out and rehearsal with Sarah this morning. Next week’s show is going to be So. Much. Fun! π
A surprise bonus hangout with the kids. We finally got together to do our holiday baking… just for a different holiday than we’d expected. Haha!
Sweaters, slippers, space heaters, and extra blankets. I’m so glad to have lots of ways to keep warm, well, warm-ish π while waiting for the furnace fixer person to appear.
Funny Toby made his own cozy home this morning.Β Then, after I made the bed (this afternoon!), he gave me the cold shoulder. Looks like all is forgiven, though.
Cats who hamper my ability to work, but are cuddly and purry and warm.
Nice visit with my folks today! Got to figure out the staging plan for Women of a Certain Height improv show next week, fixed up Mom’s iPad and FB issues, got some computer stuff done, and had a nice visit. Plus I came home with gluten-free goodies from Mom. π
Things magically fixing themselves β at least temporarily. When I got home, the house was freezing (60ΒΊ), but when I cranked up the heat, we only got cool air. By the time (about 30 minutes later) I called to schedule someone to come out, the furnace decided to start blowing warm air again. Thank you, furnace. Nice to have a warm-ish house (it’s up to 64ΒΊ now!) for sleeping tonight. Makes me really appreciate all the cold days when the furnace works so well I don’t even have to think about it.
The fun of listening to Earthtones tracks from 2002 (I wanted to add some music to our website). I was so happy – and so scared – that first year! π
