Appreciations Year Three: Day 335

Cindy’s hilarious cat postΒ https://youtu.be/C6-NdOPXYYQ and Debb’s idea for dentist waiting room conga lines, both of which had me giggling out loud during my wait at the dentist this morning. πŸ˜€

Project 7:21:15 1 Project 7:21:15 2

More expert advice and plus help on the room project from Mom, Dad, and Mckenzie. We are making good progress (though it looks much the same): seams and corners sanded and 2nd layer of mud applied, window framing project two well underway.

The huge pile of books Robby brought me the other day. Looks like I’m set for the next couple months. πŸ™‚

Gorgeous weather for an evening walk.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 334

Gorgeous weather! Sunny and not too hot. Perfect for a morning walk with Katie and Cina to the coffee shop. Plus, then there was coffee. πŸ˜‰

Project 7:20:15 1 Project 7:20:15 2 Project 7:20:15 3 Project 7:20:15 4

Progress on room project: All wall seams mudded, all corners taped, new window framing installed and primed…plus bonus fixing of wonky knob on kitchen drawer. Yipee!

Going to see Dynamic Duos with Alison tonight. What a good day!

Appreciations Year Three: Day 333

Day 333 of my 3rd year of appreciations, obviously. So many threes! πŸ˜‰

A productive morning getting more work done on the first room. Guess who knows how to tape a corner bead now? Yup, it’s me. Well, so does Mckenzie. πŸ™‚

We also learned that I already have (and was able to locate!) all the tools we’ll need for the various parts of this project – hack saw, miter box, jigsaw, putty knives, caulk gun, tin snips. Each time we found one of the necessary tools, it was like finding a little treasure!

My Dad’s enthusiasm for helping and showing me how to fix up the room – I’ve never built a custom frame for a window before. Fun!

Wonderful visit with some of the cheezy folks today. It is so great to get a chance to reconnect like this!

Lovely walk with Suz, complete with awesome butterfly dance sighting. At first our little friend was camera shy and wouldn’t sit still, but then we got lucky.

Feeling lighter, happier, and more hopeful than I’ve felt in awhile. Mmmmmm. Nice.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 332

Re-reading last year’s appreciations as I edit the spreadsheet to include current appreciations. I get to relive so many fun memories! I also come across really good advice like this from Jill last year: Chase joy rather than perfection. Thank you, again, Jill! πŸ™‚

Homeopathy – helped me move from bright red, glued-shut allergy eyes yesterday to barely pink, only slightly itchy eyes today. Thanks, belladonna!

Gorgeous thunderstorm at bedtime last night. What amazing sounds and lights!

Sweet little impromptu visit with Sarah and Ida this morning. What a treat! ❀

Phase one of paint & reorganize bedrooms complete. And by phase one I mean paint chosen and procured, first bedroom prepped, and half of it primed. πŸ˜‰

Appreciation Year Three: Day 331

I am continually amazed at how lucky I am to know the people I know. Today was no exception. So much support and sweetness came in unexpected ways. ❀

A wonderful visit with Suz and Debb – plus coffee!

Then more visiting with Suz while we picked out some flowers for my garden. She is really good at tolerating the heat! Hahahaha!

A nice little visit with Mom and Dad.

Delicious dinner and good visit with David.

#blessed

Appreciations Year Three: Day 330

A little break from the heat with this cool, misty, pretty day.

Knowing, even in the middle of a challenging day, that the state of tired-achy-stressed frustration was just temporary, and that at some point I’d feel happy and grateful again. πŸ˜‰

Etch A Sketches, Lite Brites, hula hoops, slinkys, jump ropes, jacks, slip and slides, and pogo sticks.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 329

Coffee coffee coffee for an unusually early morning. πŸ™‚

Robert and the other friendly staff and whose wry humor put us at ease and had us laughing in the various waiting rooms at the hospital today.

Good news on Dad’s thyroid tests — nothing to biopsy. Hooray!

Going to bed at 8 pm if that’s what’s needed. I guess the last couple weeks are catching up with me. Hahaha! Nightynight.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 328

Waking up counting my blessings, basking in the glow of deep and wonderful friendships.

Deep, centering breaths.

Feeling hopeful.

Getting in a little walk before it got unbearably hot and humid.

Iced coffee.

Black raspberries right off the bush.

Purring kitties and an early night.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 327

A job flexible enough to allow me time to drive down to Rochester with the Cheezgirls for a couple hours of catching up with wonderful women.

Cheezgirls afternoon! How lucky I am to be friends with such funny, bright, lovable, smart, fascinating women – and to have been friends with them for decades! πŸ™‚

Being surprised and overwhelmed by new levels of sneaky generosity demonstrated by these women. All I can say is that I am truly humbled by my great good fortune to have a life filled with people like this. ❀

Appreciations Year Three: Day 326

4-hug goodbye visits (the ones where you say goodbye, hug, then talk for 10 more minutes, walk to the door, say goodbye, hug, then talk for 10 more minutes, walk to the sidewalk, say goodbye, hug, talk for 10 more minutes, finally manage to say goodbye and hug and end the conversation at the car.) So nice to catch up with Kari last night!

Impromptu Cheezygirls visit today and plans for more fun tomorrow. So great to hang out with folks you’ve known and loved your whole life. πŸ™‚

Thundery rainy evenings.
