Appreciations Year Three: Day 265

The thoughtful, courageous, vulnerable, thought-provoking performances by Katie and her classmates at last night’s show.ย  Beautifully done!

All the major appliances in my house that DO work. ๐Ÿ˜›

Sunshine!ย  Especially after a run of cloudy, rainy days.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 264

Watching Pitch Perfect with Katie last night (yes, it was the first time I’d seen it. I know, I know!). Great ending for the day.

Nighttime rain and purring cats.

My white noise app that lets me blend different sounds. My current favorite combo is rain+whales+fan. Because that’s a combination of sounds you might hear… ๐Ÿ˜›

Magical thinking, starlight, flashlights, flashes of inspiration, laughter, applause, apple sauce, quilts.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 263

Lovely pre-Mother’s Day Saturday brunch with my family honoring my most wonderful mama. โค

daisies from melanieThe way these beautiful flowers from Melanie look against the green outside my window. Thank you for this little bit of sunshine, Melanie!

Despite not feeling well, managing, with the kids’ help (well, they did most of the work…), to get the car washed, lawn mowed, and the front yard mostly weeded yesterday. And to, um, get all the burrs off my sweater and out of my hair.

  • Pro gardening tip #1: Don’t wear a fuzzy sweater to pull out dead stuff and weeds.
  • Pro gardening tip #2: Put long hair into ponytail before commencing with same.

Coffee with my kids today. What more could a mama want?

The vinegar and baking soda worked to clean out the horrible-smelling drain. Hooray! No plumbing projects for us today. ๐Ÿ™‚

My kids’ wonderful ways of cheering their slightly overwhelmed mom… like sending me photos of our super cool cat, Toby, and making sparkly not-mother’s-day cards for me. IMG_4526

Fairy notes:replies 5:5:15Fairy fun! Yes, we happened to have glow in the dark bracelets on hand to give to the girls. That’s how we roll. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Pam’s fun alter-ego game. My secret name for today is Margaret (Maggie) Julianna Bossanova. She rocks taking care of paperwork and phone calls!

Looking forward to seeing Wits with Danny tonight! I’ve never been before!!

Friends, frisbees, fresia, french fries, Friday, canoes.

The beautiful gardens in my neighborhood.ย  What fun to walk by and see the changes each day!

Soft, warm weather that instantly improves my mood when I walk out into it.

Publicity work that does its job and results in a very nice article!

MarioProv with some of my favorite human beings.

Alison & Andy for creating the parking lot bit.

Andy for heightening and truly committing to the parking lot bit. OMG that was hilarious.ย  Genius!

Rain boots and puddles, rainbows and riddles, Grey Goose and fiddles, tea.

This amazing bundle of notes from Leah’s Girl Scout Troop!ย  Oh what fun to be fairy to them all.ย  Sweet!

Last night’s terrific (nobody says terrific anymore.ย  Why is that?) first show for the Improv Happy Hour.ย  Well done, y’all.

Looking forward to another marvelous (people don’t really use marvelous much these days.ย  I wonder why.) JimmyD class tonight.

Parentheses, my parents, well-written theses, the heady smell of lilacs, last night’s oh-so-sensational petrichor (because it didn’t look at all strange for me to stand outside my house sniffing the air at 10 pm), chlorophyll, philodendrons, dromedaries, derring do, doo-wop ditties, kitties, tee shots that soar high into the sky and land on the fairway (I mean, in theory.ย  Not sure I’ve ever experienced something like that…).

Going walkies in my neighborhood and being greeted by flowering trees that stretch down over the sidewalk to say hello.

Calling walks “going walkies” like Pam does. Her way with words always delights me!

Productive day in between morning walk and evening walk.

Beautiful weather, flowers, greenifying, sunshine, city.

Nice little visit with my dad.

Daydreaming about what cool classes I’ll take when I have a little more time: swing dance, archery, positive psychology, drawing, painting, graphic design, tai chi, qi gong, and certainly lots more I haven’t even thought of. So much good stuff to learn!

Jill for so many reasons, not the least of which is her regular posting of funny, thought-provoking, and delightful things on FB. So many smiles, so much silliness, mucha diversiรณn!

Butterflies, butter, Buster Keaton, bells, birds, lyrebirds.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 257

Appreciations Year Three: Day 256

Stating and affirming goals and plans – especially when they include singing, improv, teaching, and friends!

Our crazy weather… true, it’s in the 70’s and 80’s this weekend, but it is still possible that it will snow this month. I think the only month it’s never snowed in MN is July. Funny to get out all our sandals, but not yet put away our scarves and heavy coats. Hahaha!

Pam and Diana feetses May 2015Sandals and summer feet! (Thanks for taking this photo, Pam!).

Cough drops, lavender, talkative kitties, clover, sparkly stones in the road, swings, neighborhood kids laughing, artists, optimists, optometrists. ๐Ÿ˜‰
