Appreciations Year Three: Day 203

gremlin face treeThis mind-bogglingly beautiful weather. What an amazing joy it is to go for a walk with no need for a jacket!

All the sounds of a walk through my little neighborhood: my own footsteps; wind blowing through the trees, jangling wind chimes, jingling my earrings; airplanes and cars; melted snow rushing downhill to the storm sewer; birds singing; kids voices:
“I like to ride down the hill”
“I have my own bike”
“I want to go down a hill. Daddy, I saw a girl!”
“I know, you were having a conversation with her!”

So much deliciousness all around. ❤

Appreciations Year Three: Day 202

Small hilarious events, like having three birds fly directly at me as I walked down the sidewalk. Exhilarating!

The most delicious, nourishing, hilarious, wonderful porch visit with Pam. How I love our wonderful talks that range all over the place and leave me feeling inspired and happy and loved and excited to be alive. I am so grateful for our friendship!

Curling up with kittens to settle down for the night.

Gluten-free pancakes with cinnamon and pecans. Plus coffee! Delicious!

Sunny sunny sunny and 60º. Hells, yeah!

Having practiced changing my thoughts enough that I can usually catch an anxious/crabby/out-of-sorts day at the start and find a happier thoughts before the grumpies take hold. Yay!

Timing and plans and things all working out in the best possible way.

Alison’s sweet tolerance of a duo partner who sleeps through her alarm and arrives late for warm-ups… 😛

Spending time with Sarah and Miss Ida. It had been WAY too long!

Weather warm enough for my first walk to the lake… with NO hat….and NO mittens. Even had to take my jacket off on the way home. Woohoo!

Super fun rehearsal with Alison this morning for our debut duo show tomorrow. Hooray!

The utter joy of hanging out with the Delaney girls this afternoon. What an amazing treat. How smart that we already put a date for next week on the calendar! 🙂

Appreciations Year Three: Day 198

Free range sleeping.

The hilarious surprise when I pressed command+ yesterday (to enlarge the font in a Preview doc) and activated the text to voice feature on my mac (it was the pipe organ sound, so I heard my calendar updates as a song. LOL.)! I don’t remember changing that setting — but what a fun break from doing web updates. 😉

Surprisingly amusing errands with the kids last night. All the cashiers (and even people in line with us) were so animated and cheerful and talkative. Fun!

Sunshine and an extended forecast with no highs below 34º – and one predicted high of 56!!! Yeah, baby.

color my slipper 3-3-15My awesome $1 slippers which replace my ratty 10-year old slippers and double as a coloring project. So many hours of sharpie coloring fun in my future!  (Don’t worry, I’ll post photos of my progress on the coloring project. I know you’ll want to keep track.) 😛

Pretty snow. Even though I am tired of winter, this morning’s snowfall sure is beautiful.

So many funny and smart and interesting people in my life. What a joy it is to converse with them.

And warmth! Did you know that there are 40’s in the forecast?! And if you look far enough ahead, 50º. What a wonderful little miracle that will be!

Really good friends who will call and talk me down and tell me exactly what I need to hear exactly when I need to hear it. Thanks, Debb. Cookie earned. 😉
