Appreciations Year Three: Day 213

cheerio 4cheerio 2cheerio 3cheerio 1cheerio 5cheerio 6

The very exciting mystery of the cheerio trail, which Katie and I picked up at the end of the block and followed to the middle of the street 6 blocks away… One or two cheerio clues every 6-30 feet or so…. Hmmmm. Some treachery is afoot. (Well, if you step on the cheerios barefoot, that is.) 😛

The silly fun of clock watching and cheering at 1:23:45 am. Yeah, David and I really know how to have fun.

The even goofier fun of my own cheer back at home at 2:34:56 am. (Goofy because I know if f I stay up that late I am GOING TO BE TIRED the next day.) 😉

Sunlight and shadows on my walls. How I love the sun at this time of year. sunlight on wall

Sharp scissors, nail polish, chocolate, lilacs, whistling, trains.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 212

The beginning of spring. I’m looking forward to the greening and the leafing and the budding of the world. Hooray!

Sunshine. I love the sight of the sun brightening the sky and changing the colors from the palest of yellow to pink to blue. Beautiful.

Google’s understanding of the importance of fun.

Coincidences and surprise connections.

Cameras, ducks, baby chicks, fairy wings, very smooth stones.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 211

Gmail. Oh how I love being able to manage all 20 of my email addresses from ONE place. So good.

The little improv micro mini-con at Global Market yesterday. How fun to run into MJ & Jack when I met with Lisa. 🙂

So much fun playing with senses at the HUGE drop in class yesterday. I love the intrepid improvisers who show up to try new things. What a great group!

The ancient smell of the north woods, the somnolent sound of wind blowing through trees, the smooth taste of really good coffee, the silky feel of Luna’s sleek fur, the vibrant colors of the artwork in my office, the connected feeling of standing barefoot on the ground, the rejuvenating feeling of deep breaths. 143/365 - Coffee break

Appreciations Year Three: Day 210

After finishing work yesterday, I felt like I didn’t have enough energy to go for a walk, but decided to go anyway… and was rewarded with a funny bunny encounter. 🙂

I am looking forward to my meeting with the beautiful and talented Lisa this afternoon!

I am also looking forward to teaching the drop-in class at HUGE today (Sense-ational improv: Incorporating all the senses into your scene). So fun that today’s class is a mash up of improv and songwriting techniques. I love when my little worlds collide like that!

Appreciations Year Three: Day 209

Spring-ClipartTalking with my kids. What interesting, funny, thoughtful, insightful people they are. I am so lucky to know them!

Magnificent March mornings (streaming sunlight, fluffy felines, caffeinated coffee).

lovely warm weekend

Um, alliteration and haikus. 😛

golden morning light
cats curled up in pools of warmth
springtime beckoning

Morning walk with my darling girl.

St. Urho’s Day. (Heinäsirkka, heinäsirkka, mene täältä hiiteen!)

Springtime sounds, grasshoppers, grapes, dry sidewalks, finding pennies, clean floors, hope.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 207

Feeling just well enough to do the stuff I really, really wanted to do this weekend, and then having enough down time to rest in between and afterward.

Watching awesome improv and then and having sososoooooo much fun performing with Sarah at the Pi Day Bonanza last night! Unbelievably fun.

The excitement of meeting new improvisers and hearing all their good ideas. I love surrounding myself with interesting, engaged, creative people. Musical improv is going to be super fun!

Warm socks, purring cats, tea, early bedtime.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 206

A wonderful morning with the Delaney girls followed by an excellent afternoon of make-em-ups, the duo edition, with Alison and Community Ed and Squash Banana. Yay!

Sunshine and blue skies….AGAIN!

Numbers and letters and songs and red and new ideas.

Appreciations Year Three: Day 205

More completely gorgeous weather. What a fabulous thing to be so thrilled by it every single day.

The luxury of being able to walk to the coffee shop for a meeting.

Super fun meeting with Andy during which we talked shop – and then, you know, life, the universe, and everything. 🙂

A reasonably tidy office — especially since a few hours ago it looked like the love child of a paper supply company and a garage sale… 😛

Being able to go for walks again. REAL walks – like all the way down to the   Rose Gardens and back. Thank you, pacemaker, for helping my heart do its thing the right way!

The lacy not-yet-budding branches against the fading early spring light.

The adventure of taking photos with my phone, but not really being able to see what I’ve got in the frame (since I’m facing the sun), so having to wait until I get home to see what I got. 🙂 I love that these trees look like they are holding hands.

The feeling of being impelled down the hill so quickly I almost have to jog to keep from falling. Being able to walk back UP the hill. Did I mention how much I like my heart and lungs and muscles all doing what I need? So good.

The goofy unlikeliness of looking down at just the right moment during my walk to spot Katie’s Earth First button and pick it up – not even knowing it was hers or that she’d lost it. Silly.

Silliness.
