I appreciate:

  • Weather warm enough for puddles! I saw someone outside wearing a t-shirt and no jacket today!
  • Crossing things off my to-do list. Or should I say “ta-da” list?
  • Open windows letting in the balmy air.

  • Hazelnut flavoring for making a decadent weekend coffee. Yummers.

Year 2 Day 198: Joe, healing wrist, pie

I appreciate:

  • The super friendly, funny, sweet RN, Joe, who removed Katie’s splint and her stitches today!
  • That Katie is even closer to having a working wrist again. My girl still has a lot of healing to do, but everything’s going well.

Year 2 Day 196: looking back for good things, looking forward, improv

I appreciate:

  • The way forgetting to do my appreciations helps me to go back through my day and pull out good things.
  • The way remembering to do my appreciations helps me see the best of what is in front of me.
  • The way having improv shows coming up makes me feel like fun is in my future. Did I mention that improv is fun?

  • Calendula. What a comfort during this winter of dry, cracked skin.
