Year 2 Day 83: fun with spreadsheets, habits spreadsheet, paper bags

I appreciate:

  • That I can make anything fun by turning it into a spreadsheet.
  • My new helpful habits spreadsheet. (Since I’ve recently been reprimanded for not taking care of myself and focusing too much on getting things done, I made a to-do list of self-care, heart-healing things. HA! Now I can take care of myself AND check things off my list.)
  • Paper bags. Such an inexpensive (and really, really amusing) toy for Toby.

Year 2 Day 80: fridge, food, goofy cats

I appreciate:

  • Having a clean refrigerator. You know, so we can actually see what’s in there.
  • Having a refrigerator. It is just one of so many conveniences I usually take for granted.
  • Having food in my fridge – and so many choices – and never having to really worry about that.
  • Also, really, really, goofy cats throwing toys in the air and racing around the house like maniacs. What goofballs!

Year 2, Day 76: good news, fall leaves, new books

I appreciate:

  • Good report from the doctor! No new growth of the lymphoma. Hooray!
  • The blanket of leaves on my front steps. I don’t actually know why this pleases me, but it does. Oh yeah, I’m just weird that way. That’s why.
  • The anticipation of starting a new book you just know is going to be good. Thanks, Sarah!

Year 2 Day 75: wind, breakfast with Burcin, writing with Sarah

I appreciate:

  • The wild, wonderful wind whipping around today.
  • My super fun breakfast with Burcin (plus coffee!). My super fun writing and walking time with Sarah (plus coffee!).
  • Making progress on the book. Yes, a book! Yes, you will hear more about it as it is nearer to completion! Yes, it is my year of gratitude – plus lots of other fun extras (not coffee!) Yes!
