I appreciate:

• Remembering how to play. Life is so much better when I remember this.
• The people I’ve met since starting improv. What a bunch of wacky, weird, wonderful people.
• Watching Toby spin in circles chasing a toy he was carrying in his own mouth. Wish I’d caught it on video!!

I appreciate:

• Getting to spend time with the beautiful, lively, brilliant Burcin this morning!
• Misty fall colors all around the city.
• Carving pumpkins with the kids.

What a good life I have. Contented sigh.

I appreciate:

• The fun the kids and I had yesterday, talking in accents all evening. What a funny meeting of Russian, Australian, and Irish… 😉
• The amazing folks at Uptown Vet. Their love of animals and care for ours is just beautiful.
•  The supportive community of Lift. Thanks for letting me know about it, Jerilyn!

I appreciate:

• Basking in the memory of last night’s super fun Cursed! show. So. Much. Fun!
• The kids’ willingness to help out with a big work project.
• The most excellent Lego haunted house the kids made. The fact that this project has taken up much of the past weekend proves that I raised them right.

 I appreciate:

• The smell of still-warm, clean linen – especially when it’s way past my bedtime. 😉
• Getting Toby home again this morning. He’s been able to drink water and eat the potatoes we made for him without ill effect. Sleepy kitten.
• Getting to make more witchy mischief at HUGE tonight!

I appreciate:

• Odor-neutralizing enzymes, rags, and a team spirit for cleaning up lots and lots of kitty barf. Oy.
• Emergency vet who is taking care of Toby and helping him feel better. Hopefully he’ll be back home tomorrow morning!
• Theodore Wirth Parkway at night. What a peaceful way to get home from the vet.

I appreciate:

• Help. Remembering to ask for and accept it. Um, yeah.
• Scarves.
• Our annual apple orchard trip with the family, complete with a black cat amongst the pumpkins.

I appreciate:

• Starting my day with time reading in front of the light box – I think it’s helping!
• Books. Oh, how I love books. Next up: re-reading all-time favorites.
•  Cozy fall reading weather.

I appreciate:

• The gluten-free pumpkin pancakes I made this morning. Yummers.
• Being back home after being gone the entire day.
• Spending the evening with the lovely and talented Alison, first at the lovely and talented Damian’s class, then seeing the lovely and talented performers at HUGE: Nick, Jane, Bryan, Amanda, Michael, Mary, Madhu… and now FB won’t let me tag any more! But a whole bunch of lovely talented people.

I appreciate:

• Being lucky enough to be surrounded by people who think I’m awesome even when I don’t.
• Learning (however slowly) that despite my distaste for making them, my mistakes don’t generally cause the ACTUAL end of the world.
• My willingness (stubbornness?) to re-commit to something I sorta let go of – you know, like writing my appreciations first thing in the morning, and uh, posting them…
