Year 1, Day 144: warm weather and cool jobs

I appreciate:

  1. The spring-like weather today. I know it’s temporary, but it made me happy for spring. πŸ˜ƒ
  2. Having really cool jobs. I appreciate that I am constantly learning and stretching beyond what I know right now. (Like,Β uh, how to do a laughter yoga presentation/demo for 150 people….) It’s exciting!
  3. The past few months, writing the Songwork.com newsletter series featuring our instructors has given me the chance to learn more about these truly amazing people. Check outΒ this super-cool “Stylus Symphony”Β written by our own Stephen Webber for a 90-piece orchestra — plus turntables!!Β

Year 1, Day 143: planner colors, holiday mugs, Cimmy cat

I appreciate:

  1. My 5 color system in my planner: Family/friends, Skynote, Seriously Happy, Songwork, Improv. Those are 5 great ways to spend time every day! (And how nice that I even get paid for some of them.) πŸ˜ƒ
  2. My holiday mugs. Even though most of the holiday things are put away, the lights are still up and we’re still using the mugs. Why? Because we like them. 😜
  3. I also appreciate Cimmy, who is beautiful and inquisitive.

Year 1, Day 140: questions, answers, longer days, encouragement

Question and appreciations:

  1. What do you do to calm your mind when you feel overwhelmed by the number of to-dos on your list and events on your calendar? I’d love to hear about your ways to find peace amidst chaos!
  2. Meanwhile, I appreciate my wise and thoughtful friends, who I know will have interesting answers to that question. πŸ˜ƒ
  3. I also appreciate the fact that the days are getting longer and longer – so much yummy daylight now!
  4. I appreciate hope and neuroplasticity. Even though I feel discouraged and overwhelmed right now, I know I can think my way (however gradually it might be) to a place that feels easier. πŸ˜‰

Year 1, Day 139: lovely morning, amazing workshop, awesome weekend, crazy friends

I appreciate:

  1. Time with Miss R, T & E, and my daughter, who is goofy and makes R giggle. What a lovely morning!
  2. Lauren Anderson’s amazing Closed Circuit Communication workshop. Can’t wait to try it out more next weekend!
  3. Time to learn and perform with so many talented, generous, funny women this weekend. Thank you, Tiny Funny Women Fest!
  4. Friends like Danny, who do brave/insane things like the polar bear jump to help other people. πŸ˜ƒ
